Oh come on, while it's true that business failure is spending a lot of money and not winding up with a product, _academic_ failure is doing a study and failing to publish, because one experiment can only legitimately test one hypothesis (e.g. an effect exists) and non-significant results are generally not publishable. This weird, asymmetric culture of advancement has also lead science into the replication crisis. Failing to notice that failure means different things in different cultural settings: not impressive.
