This takes me back to a time when i was a young man trying desperately to find himself. It takes me to a 3 day hike along the Columbia Gorge, the cool mist of the river, the secret paths, rambling currents and waterfalls. That was 40 years ago. I'm now a senior citizen, still wandering, still wondering as i stride toward that final Golden hour. Until then I'll continue to carry that young man's spirit with me.

Paul Speer is a musical genius, and this track is definitely his opus. I'll give David Lanz some credit too, but without Speer, this track would not exist. Ever since the first time I heard it on the radio back in the 1980's, this has been one of my favorite musical tracks. I would love to go sit in the heart of the great north west redwood forests and just listen to this on repeat.

Esta es una de mis canciones favoritas. Es apacible, reconfortante y suscita pensamientos de esperanza. Mi primera introducción a esta canción me llegó cuando era niño a mediados de los 90, y esta canción siempre me trae de vuelta a esos tiempos felices que estaban llenos de asombro cuando era más joven. Cuando escuché esta canción me enamoré de la música de new age, que escucho frecuentemente. "Behind the waterfall" es para mí el mejor tema instrumental de todos los tiempos.

OMG....dear Paul.....I couldn't get bigger and better gift than your wonderful comment. I made it some 17 years ago trying to put my newborn daughter sleep. I used to play original on repeat holding her on my shoulder. It was always too short because we....me and her....couldn't get enough 🙂 As soon as it came to an end, she would start crying 🙂 I was just a kid when I first time heard it back in the 80's....and it was instantly imprinted into my heart...forever. Same happened with my daughter. It was her lullaby while she was just a baby. Now....reminder on most beautiful time in life....childhood. It brings both...smile and tears on my face...everytime I press ''play''. Because of some sad events some years ago....it became toooo painfull to listen....but now....it is reborn 🙂 Video I used was captured couple of days ago with simple cell phone on Pericnik waterfall in Slovenia. Perfect location, perfect day with a perfect company. Beautiful moments and memories with loved one...Behind The Waterfall. Thank you, thousand times for your kindness and support. It's in Slovenia. It is called Pericnik waterfall.
