Late 2013, I was sitting in my car in a quiet parking lot. Soon I'd walk to GameStop for some silly midnight release, but for now I relished the stillness. The cloudless crystal sky, the gently biting winter air. As I relaxed in the embrace of my insulated hoodie, "Night Sky" by David Larsen came up on my playlist, and I was enveloped by a feeling of complete peace that I'd forgotten was possible. I felt like time itself had stopped and there was nothing left to worry about. It only lasted a few minutes before the discomforts and demands of life started nudging their way back in, but they were a powerful few minutes and their impact remains with me today.

This is just gorgeous. They say that the greatest art is when nothing more can be taken away, and I think this proves it. The minimalist approach in this piece makes it very raw and exceptionally moving, far more than it would've been had it been more cluttered. I even started to tear up a little when the cello came in. This is just a phenomenally satisfying piece of music from start to finish. Thank you for this. :)

i think the reason why people are always hateing on Celestia is becuase she is too nice and kind. Think about everything time someone in real life is very nice and kind people always say" that bitch thinks she better then us" or something like that. she always done what is best for her people and she really been alone for most of her life(she a god you know) also she and her sister came down from on high to help pony kind. If that not love then i don't know that is.

(I know, two months later) Indeed. If anything, if there is to be the argument of who is better, it is Celestia. She genuinely cares for her subjects, and treats them like her own children. She runs the country, and tries her hardest to protect her children. The only reason her people fear her, is because her people are like innocent sheep, that think that they themselves must seem so insignificant to her. When she does love them like a mother.

I could agree with that. Compared to Celestia, she's incredibly popular. However, that may be due to the fact that although equally as important, she doesn't have many appearances in the show. Therefore each of the fans speculate and imagine a character they would be fond of.

Incorrect. The reason why Chrysalis had so easily defeated Celestia is because Chrysalis had absorbed all of Shining Armour's love for Cadence, making her more powerful than Celestia.

Piano and Celesta, together. It is sort of minimalistic.. this song. Not my favourite from what I heard on my record but simplistic. You could have used more stuff, including other instruments. Erik Satie is great source to learn more about minimalismo since he was one of the pioneers in that style. Harp would do the trick here in some parts, if you used a bit more of Composition theory.
