I don't know when he said it, but someone quoted Lynch to me as having said drugs are "a waste of time"

So hypnotic, so psychedelic . Why do drugs exist, when there are songs like this?

Is it just me, or do the vocals sound like Daniel Johnson?

The refrain ("So glad you're gone") looks to be a borrowing from an old Beatrice hit, a parody of the sentimental love songs, titled "Azok a boldog szép napok" (= Those Happy Old Days). In the 1980s Beatrice was an oppositionist underground rock band in Hungary. Its leader later has become a well-known TV celebrity, as stupid as the targets of his former parodies.

@AdmiralCNorton Yeah, but what if you want something more complicated like acid? It's also hard to make.

It is Mr.Rogers in bondage gear venting his pent up wrath while trying to channel Sonny Bono and Neil Young simultaneously into his vocal delivery.........isn't it ?????

Wonder if the "narrator" killed the person he is singing about.
