So turn up the volume at the beginning of the song as David is walking to his guitar and you’ll hear the guy (I don’t know who it is talking) saying this: “Can’t you see that even that face on you really isn’t your’s? Look at any fresco or any painting and you will find it. The face you got was given to you only temporarily to keep, to wear it like someone else’s hat and then it will go on after you are gone. Same goes for your voice or whistle. Take a look around, it’s your shadow on the wall. It grew you and got fat with you. One day you will lay into it and it will out live you.”. I do enjoy the meaning of what the voice is saying.

+1 for smile. The vocalist on that track (Aleksandra Djelmas) is also the vocalist for Destiny Potato/Sordid Pink, David's other project. I would really recommend listening to Freak or Drive by Sordid Pink. Kinda a more poppy project than regular DMM, but still amazing

Yes there’s talking at the beginning of the song when David is walking to his guitar and at the beginning of him playing. The talking is also in the recorded song as well, not just the play through video. I don’t know who’s the guy talking, but true the volume up loud and you’ll be able to hear what he’s saying. I think what he’s saying has a great meaning. I found out exactly what he’s saying from David’s “Who Bit The Moon Sketchbook” that he had for a limited preoder (how every many that were ordered by the final date, that’s how many were made) a few years ago. The sketchbook’s supposed to tell the meaning of the album and why he wanted the artwork (he had his girlfriend that I’m not sure if he’s still with draw the art) for the album to be the way he had it. It included all of the various concepts for each part of the artwork David and his girlfriend Yelka had for the album.
