I support not naming suspects of such crimes unless they are charged and/or found guilty. This is a difficult and sensitive subject to be sure. Just look what’s happened to Johnny Depp, for instance. And to say you can sue if you are wrongly accused like Cliff Richard is a nonsense when ordinary people don’t have the money for that

If you are named and later are found innocent, the stigma and harassment, the hounding is incessant. And all for nought. If you are charged then release the name. Its as simple as that. A mans reputation can be in tatters livelihood lost and be innocent. Family ruined etc. Only if you are charged and convicted should names be released.

I wish I could believe that, Jimmy Savile wasn't arrested, charged or suspended, and look at the crimes he committed, police knew about it for years, and they did nothing, look at Rochdale, Rotherham and othere British towns and cities that have rape gangs that comited such crimes of sexual abuse and nothing is been done about it or investigated by our British police, WHY, what are they afraid of or hiding. They should not be names until charged. At that point they can be named, and if in public office, suspended. We must remember that they are assumed innocent until a court finds them guilty. There have been too many cases in the past that could have influenced a jury.
