When my Sikh community brought this up in the 70's and 80's - nobody listened. Sikh girls were groomed since the 60's and still are - by the same perpetrators, alongside white working class girls. In our Sikh gurdwara's we have set up task forces to safeguard our girls, and we have men from our temples assembling teams to patrol area's where girls have been groomed and are seen alone after dark where they could be vuneable. The Labour Party should be held accountable, as it's occurred mostly in their heartlands. The tories also did nothing in their 13 years to help these girls.

Where with white working class girls, it was a sexual motive, with Sikhs, the Pakistani's wanted to convert them too - to rub salt into the Sikh community.

Whereever in the world you visit, when there is a Gurdwara, go there and listen to what the local Sikhs tell you about the place. I've never encountered a more consistently dedicated and honest people, caring and working to better a place. All this without ever preaching some empty religion to you, instead focused on actually living an admirable philosophy. You people have my deepest respect. Thank You for investigating and bringing this into the Public Domain. I have been saying for YEARS that this was NOT limited to Rotherham that this was a Nationwide, possibly networked, Problem. This is well organised, has been going on for decades and will continue to do so for 2 main reasons 1. People in authority are afraid of a Racist Slur. 2. Police are afraid that if the general public really knew of how many 10's of thousands of victims there are people of other racial origins would storm predominantly Pakistani Muslim areas and leave death and destruction in their wake. The numbers are seriously underestimated as the grooming has been going on over 50 years. It is still a problem today, the police and council still refuse to act to this very day, they've just got better at covering it up. Many of us are protective of our children, none of mine were abused. The problem is through "wokeness" and fear of prosecution many are afraid to stand up for other peoples children, the I'm alright Jack mentality is rife.
