I showed in this documentary every important thing you need to know. I could show more details in mixing and mastering but it will not help you because every song is different. The basic mix you can watch in this video. There are two important things you need to do to mixing like that. The recording and the plugins. These two things are important because If you will record with modern mics and use different amps and guitars than Beatles, you cant mix it in the sound like this. A lot of important is also microphones placement specially during recording the drums.

I do understand you. I knew the songs were in the style of the early and late Beatles but I loved learning about the recording process you went through. There are many ways you could have achieved this that would have been much easier, but I am really impressed you decided to use similar instruments and recording techniques as the Beatles did. Have you made any videos on the process you went through after you had recorded vocals, guitars, other instruments etc and the processes you applied to those tracks like eq, reverb, compression and delay etc but more in depth, like taking a dry lead vocal you recorded and then applying those effects to that track. I'd love to see those types of videos. Do you have any like that or can you elaborate on this process in words taking one lead vocal or guitar track for a certain song.
@davidnovotnymusic6 жыл бұрын
I have only this video. Im gonna try to tell you here. Each song has double lead vocal and double backing vocals. All vocals are send into the same group. In this group I used Fairchild compresor, Redd 51 desk for EQ, and very important is Briliance pack EQ (the green one). Boost +4db/10k. And than I added reverb. So all the vocals are mixed together the same way, not separately as nowadays. In the songs in the second half era I mixed lead vocals in one group and backing vocals in second group because later Beatles didn't sing together into one mic. I've always imagined The Beatles to record my song. On guitars I used the same plugins as for the vocals. In early era songs I used RS124 on "Lennon" guitar parts. Abbey Road did the same. Send me your email and I'll send you something which could help you. My email is davidnovotnymusic@gmail.com
