David has a beautiful voice, noble character and wonderful stage presence. God bless him, his dear parents and his entire extended family. Virtue is a diamond and he’s shining like a supernova example to the world. He’s a breath of fresh air.

I never heard of David Osmond, until I went through KZbin, watching Osmond family video. I have much respect for this young man who didn't use "Osmond" and went in to audition as all the others without a famous last name. Great respect. I'm an Osmond fan, thru and thru.

Simon Cowell is an idiot and wouldn't know great talent if he tripped over it. Just because David is an Osmond that it should not have meant that he couldn't have went on to win Idol. I am a huge Osmond fan. Always have always will be. I still to this day listen to old Osmond CD's. Donny has always been my favorite. I have seen lots of people try out for Idol that couldn't carry a tune in a bucket.

He's an Osmond, he has talent, and workmanship..why is he not already at the top of his field? Probably too clean cut, no scandal can be attached to him to make him news worthy, Simon couldn't take his money after a year and drop him like he does almost everyone else, he'd have the whole Osmond clan on his back.

Seriously… David Osmond has an amazing voice, he did great with the audition… And there's people that are too worried about religion and not really what the video is all about… I agree with the other comments. Unfortunately, he is too clean to be in this filthy music industry…. However, he did not need the show to get his famous…
@AnneLiesveld11 жыл бұрын
I agree with what you said about that he needed this show to get fame on his name. I think the sad part is that has more to do with his not necessarily being someone who will push for his own talents to shine. I know his brothers and him were famous to a point but I can't say he is definitely famous all on his own merits. I mean it isn't like he he is famous because of his father or whatever or Donny's life but it is like he just struggled to connect and on top of which MS probably became a battle ROYALE for him to endure! I don't think I necessarily knew or not of him anymore just because of this show though!

Yes but what Simon said was very true, he's not contemporary. However it's very admirable that he wanted to get into the Business through Auditioning and not using The Name Osmond as a foot to get in to door. I found it quite ironic that he Sang A Take Six Song instead of Back At One considering that Take Six is a Top Black Gospel Group.
@goooogrrr7 жыл бұрын
+laminage He's not contemporary lol. Dude you haven't heard him sing. He's all kinds of contemporary. They just had to be politically correct and apply affirmative action action on him. He smoked everybody. He should have won.

Really weird question but when Alan said something about David was fighting this disease he said something and was being over-dramatic but because he wasn't emotional I couldn't tell what he said. He said something (from what I could hear) to the effect of like "David is beating this disease.... and said something about that He isn't all nice or something. Was that Alan's nice way of saying He is tough as nails? Did anyone else catch better what Alan said? It was right before 2:22.

Anne Liesveld "He's got a challenge and he's whippin' it cuz he's TOUGH, and he's not doin it because he's an Osmond. So I love you and go get 'em! And remember you can always come home!" Word for word. Hope that helped!
@AnneLiesveld10 жыл бұрын
I see. I thought Alan said something about that he wasn't him or something. I got ya. Ya I thought he was saying something about he is whipping it because He is tough and not because he is a baby or something. Can you just hear better than me or did you see this somewhere online clearer? Am I just stupid?
@AnneLiesveld10 жыл бұрын
I can hear it now because I see the words on print! Ya Alan is a little bit of a curmudgeon to put it delicately! To say the understatement of the millennium I think even though Alan says that MS doesn't have him even though he has it technically MS CAN have Alan and can very easily have him in a wheelchair. Aren't people pretty commonly regardless of your best intentions and good hearted spirit wheelchair bound after 25 years? Isn't MS in the same vein as ALS? I watched a family friends' parent suffer and no amount of "goodwill" spared him suffering effects so therefore it is like sometimes you just call yourself blessed if you are walking at his point of diseas!

He's trying out for American Idol while someone by the name of Justin Bieber has taken the world by storm. What is wrong with this picture??? Considering what that little freak has done here in the U.S. in the last 6 months alone by urinating into a mop bucket in a public restroom as a joke, egging a neighbor's house causing $20,000 in damages, driving a rented Lamborghini in Miami Beach, street racing with another person, admitting to have drank beer, smoked weed, and used Xanax (anti-anxiety med) that is actually his mothers and she is giving it to him (a felony) that all happened in January. All of these things would put the "normal" person in jail or worse. Since he's a "celebrity" all he has gotten so far is a slap on the wrist. I remember Donny telling how lonely it was on the road when they toured. That is so sad, childhood lost. Bieber could take a lesson from them. He was actually kicked out of California and is now living in Atlanta, renting a house from one of his friends known to the musical world as "Usher". His manager, Scooter Braun also lives in Atlanta. Hopefully they can keep him out of trouble for more than one or two months. All because his mom put her home videos of him singing and playing guitar on KZbin when he was about 12 years old.

Anyone else would have been praised for that audition, but because he already had a famous family they put him under a different set of rules. I think they want to promote those who are "nobody's" and make them stars. David didn't fit that mold so they forced him out eventually. It's their choice obviously who stays and goes. David will be great anyway as he is extremely talented. I just hope his MS will stay at bay so he can share his talents for years to come.

Celtic: I think He (as much as he has all the background etc) is just finding his way in the world in a lot of ways!! He has so much potential that it bugs me that "suzy or Steven slimy celebrity" get more attention for the fact that they have put on attire that isn't befitting an adult let alone a teen and show off in their dance moves. To simply work when every one else does ALA David Osmond shows putz and maturity and isn't a good attention getting as you said because it doesn't give any scandals to his name!

Who was the kid that was being held by Doug? Alex or Tyler???
@lyric122810 жыл бұрын
I don't see Doug holding anyone in this video. And it definitely wasn't Alex and Tyler, considering they were 19 and 21 at the time. All I see is Scott holding his own child.

ok I must be totally confused. let me rewatch again knowing that. I thought I knew who was who. I thought they were a lot younger. This was from more than a few years ago wasn't. It wasn't less than 3 years ago and Tyler is only 24 now. This was from 2011?

I think the 3rd generation Alison is pretty neutral. I enjoy David's CD but I also enjoy "religious" music and a lot of is just more thoughtful than "religious" (as you call it) I assume you are one of these people who believes in Santa and all of those religious elves but doesn't want to worry about making Christmas too much about religion though. Nathan is also a 2nd generation singer who sings stuff that has NOTHING to do with religion. How do you perceive a kids' group (all that 3rd generation is so far) to be "religious" Do you have n e clue who 3rd generation is?

the problem with the osmonds is their is too much religion in their music, especially the 2nd and 3rd generation osmond
@obscurelyvague6 жыл бұрын
"alison brown" I thought the Osmonds were great during their heyday, but they lost something as performers when they started to put too much religion into everything they did performance wise. The Donny and Marie Show might not have been as career-destroying as it was for all the Osmonds if it were not turned into an advertisement for the Mormon Church
@denisemccarthy83696 жыл бұрын
So Alison what is your point? They are a great family and they honor their religious beliefs. Not many people in show business these days can honestly say that. I am a huge fan of the Osmond Family.
