Been an admirer of Mr. Ryan's for some years now. I remember so well his Investor's Daily [never liked the addition of the "...Business" line] tv commercial, "...I don't need to hear about sheepherders in Australia". I also have a DVD that I recorded back in 1988 [from the very old F.N.N. Network] of Mr. O'Neil speaking in Santa Monica to a group of folks all about how Investor's Daily works. Great show! BTW, when is David going to write his own version of investing with I.B.D.???

Thank you for your question, Steve, and my apologies it's taken a little while to get back to you. The rotation out of oil and gas and into medical stocks is a great recent example. We saw a lot of sharp, heavy volume declines in leading oil and gas stocks and money rotate into medical stocks. Many of them are now forming the right side of bases and trying to break out, but also could stand to tighten up a bit more after their strong moves in recent weeks. Relative strength is a great indicator in addition to accumulation/distribution and looking at shifts in the industry group rankings. All the best to you!

A follow-through day is a signal to tiptoe back into the market... not a pedal-to-the-medal signal. Not all FTDs result in a bull market, but all bull markets begin with a follow-through day! It's all about managing your risk and exposure level.

Great interview would like to see current examples tho not MSFT in 1989. Seems the greats are stuck in the past with examples so much has happened since then and there are many many more current examples that can be used as examples. Just my 2cents what do I know, I was never an investing champion.
