This mans impact is bigger than what he carries himself as. He's so humble. You don't actually know how influential this man is until you realise how his literature is literally part of the bedrock of leadership and Christian devotionals and Study Bibles. Growing up I didnt even know the person existed, I always thought John Maxwell was a foundation/name of a organisation and now as an adult to see it's a real person is shocking. I'm sure eveyone has at least one John Maxwell book, devotion, study Bible or literature of his in their home.

One of my favorite parts of the interview was in the beginning. John and Tom talked about how John introduced himself to each and every one of Tom's staff members. That story illustrated one out of a million reasons why John Maxwell has had the influence he's had in the worlds of leadership, business, and personal development. Definitely one of my favorite Impact Theory interviews ever. Thanks, Tom!

I was in an entry level position at my last employer. I was taking the job I had for granted. I thought I had to be In a manger role to make a difference. It wasn’t until I got to the employer I am with now, where I made a promise to myself to give encouragement to one employee, and one customer each day. I have been doing just that. Since I’ve started that, my managers have seen the change in me, and they asked what else they could do for me to make my job easier. And I said, “I want to be able to help my peers be the best they can be, while still be the best I can be. So I’m planning on giving a training class on passion, and why it’s important to be an example of hope for others. I love when the guest said, “in the middle of that five years, I asked myself, when will I get there to, how far will I go.” Thank you for this video!

Power of connection - value people. Everyone is a factor of success. Liability/asset. Everything rises/falls on leadership. Leaders can be made. Leadership is a skill, it CAN be developed. Sometimes you win sometimes you learn. How long could it take? Or How far could I go? Growth~ allows you to expand yourself. How much you know is a potential on how much you could share. Influence~ add value to people to increase your influence to people. Think of ways to value people Encourage others to value people Be consistent. Dont be afraid to talk about loses and failures. Before you lead people, you need to find them. Find out who they are and build relationship. Understand on how to lead an individual instead of doing it collectively. Lead the people with their best interest in mind. You cant grow yourself if you dont know yourself. I am not afraid to be critisized.
