This one shows how talented Conan is. David operates on an entirely different frequency than other people in comedy but Conan was still able to find the cadence and the humor in what he was doing.

So many interviewers don't understand David's humor, and bulldoze over the subtlety and his storytelling that leads to some of the best humor out there. They ask him point blank questions and don't listen to answers or converse. Conan gets it, and one of the only people I've seen actually meet and elevate the conversation. This is one of my all-time favorite episodes.

When I went to one of his readings/book-signings like 15 years ago (it was for an anthology he edited called “Children Playing Beneath a Statue of Hercules”) someone brought their 5 y/o daughter who asked him if he had any pets. He told her “I had a cat but she died, now I just have mice who poop in my kitchen drawers and eat my cigarettes”. Aside from Conan and Howard Stern, five year olds are the best interviewers ever.

I have always loved Conan, been watching off and on since probably 2002. Even as someone who always enjoyed his entertainment I assumed he was a pain to work with, it’s part of what he portrays to us…. Then very recently I got to thinking about all that crap that went down with Ellen and it made me realize, if he was truly a pain to work with/for, we would of heard something from someone. No one as far as I know has come out and said anything negative about him. His people always have his back.

Haven't caught this complete podcast on Sirius yet, but so far, great! Here's another one for Sedaris - the LONG wait lists for the library audio when he has a new book out. When you're notified that it's your turn, it's like ding, ding, ding, you won the library lotto. I enjoy Conan much more in podcast platform - his personality has time to breathe and there's much more authenticity from the guests. Conan's entire panel is great :)

How come ghosts are always wearing the clothes they had on in life? Their clothes didn't die. Did the stuff in their pockets also become ghosts along with their ghost-clothes? If they had a knife on them, is it now a ghost-knife? Can you stab another ghost with that ghost-knife? Does that ghost die and become a ghost-ghost?

Ok so last night I had a dream that I was on a reality show hosted by Conan O’Brien. The weird thing is that I was only on the reality show to try to get with Conan in the first place and I was using Numerology to help guide me through the challenges only to try to get into his pants. Also I was probably too young (in the dream) for him but he was still his present day age (old). I know that numerology and astrology are not the same thing but they are in the same woo woo category as ghosts. Weird eh!

I LOVE the fantasy fictional fun idea of ghosts, but yes, I also have absolutely never seen anything that had an immediately obvious logical explanation. THOUGHT I saw a ghost once while driving past someone's lawn recently at night, then I realized 1 second later what I saw was sprinkler water picked up by the wind.

Remember , there's a very simple way to tell if your house is haunted . It isn't ... Jimmy Carr. Also . Isn't it amazing that in central London a place that has had people living and dying in misery and squalor for hundreds if not a thousand years and not a single specter in sight . We should be up to our necks in ghouls ... David Mitchell . 🤣🤣🤣 *But in all seriousness if you do suspect your house is haunted the first thing you need to do is get a carbon monoxide detector and call a plumber and an AC person. They'll pretty much explain every single noise you're hearing and how you're hearing it and why . And if that doesn't do it the carbon monoxide detector almost certainly will ...

Conan just sold TeamCoco (or at least the podcast portion) to siriusXM and I think there's hope that full episodes will be on video. But who knows, because as I understand it, Matt Gourley edits them and that's a lot of work for one guy. If they hire a team, they kind of need to know what's going on because there's a lot of inside jokes that Gourley will add into the audio, right? So who knows how it'll work.

I don't know much about ghosts other than it makes fun stories when exploring abandoned sanatoriums, but gravity and electromagnetism are fundamental forces of the universe and create waves that perhaps affect us in imperceptible ways. Planets are magnetic and have been in clockwork like cycles for billions of years.
