Well, I've made the plunge and have tried Sprue Goo for the 1st time. I have known about this for quiet some time, however I've not made the move. Saw your video 1 month ago and as a result decided to give it a go. Working on an 1/72 Airfix P-51D. Worked like a charm and will probably have very little sanding to do. Made about a 1/2 a Tamiya Extra Thin jar, so should last me a bit. Thanks for the great tutorial!

Thanks David, I've been meaning to give that a try. I will be doing so for sure with the next project. Presently working on Tamiya 1/48 BF109 G-6, so won't be needing any 🤣

Cool procedure, does it have to be Tamiya glue. This will definately help on some models.

Nope in theory, it could be ANY plastic cement

Ok David, I've been cutting up my stash of sprues and leaving the cut up pieces in a container. When making the Goo will having different sprues matter?
@SunwardHobbiesToronto8 ай бұрын
David said it doesn't matter so long as it's plastic and can melt! Consistency of cottage cheese! Also don't worry about different colored sprue as you'll be priming on top of the goo anyway!

is it possible to squeeze this out of a syringe?
@SunwardHobbiesToronto7 ай бұрын
Nope! If done properly, this will have the consistency of cottage cheese! Too think

This sounds like a direct translation of some odd positive affirmation in a different language.

those fingers, you could be a hand model for dracula. stop spending all your money on models and buy some food. just a bit of light ribbing but thanks that was good to know!
