RIP David Stern again and always, the most special part of his building and accomplishing was symbolized exactly by what he did in the first (and biggest, and going even more over, for all the players in the seats and not there too) chunk of his own speech; greeting, recognizing and thanking all those building legends. Ultimately, a prototypical fan and NBA lover. A truly great commissioner.

BimodalMetal6 David Stern is a liar . He is corrupt and has instructed his officials to manipulate some games to further revenue . He has made the sport into entertainment instead of a honest sport . He rigged the 2002 WCF for the Lakers . The draft is also most likely manilualted . You think so highly of him because you don't know anything about him, only what you know fromn the media . David stern is the only humble troll I’ve ever seen. He never said much but there was always a comedic vagueness to the way he answered questions where he could make you feel involved while giving you nothing at all. Everytime he was asked about a league conspiracy, he would never confirm or deny it. Why? He realized that the speculation itself makes the game that much bigger and hard to ignore. Brilliant man.

+goku8621 You're dreaming. Goodell didn't singlehandedly encourage and facilitate any of his league's franchises to relocate, nor did he cockblock a city which lost its franchise from obtaining one through relocation. Goodell's worst crimes have been in the disciplinary category. But, he's only doing exactly what the owners pay him to do. Notice that none of them ever had any beef with the guy until he dropped the hammer on one of THIER star players. Robert Kraft, in particular.
