David Stork PhD is an Adjunct Professor at Stanford University. He holds 64 issued patents and has published over 220 scholarly works including nine books/proceedings volumes. David is widely considered a founding pioneer in the application of rigorous computer vision, machine learning, and artificial intelligence applied to problems in the history and interpretation of fine art, specifically paintings and drawings, having published the earliest papers, co-founding the world's first conference, Computer Vision and Analysis of Art, teaching its first courses and publishing its first book, Pixels & Paintings. He graduated in Physics from MIT and the University of Maryland and studied Art History at Wellesley College.

This is a fascinating topic. The permutations of the analytical aspects that need to be read and considered - are daunting. Thanks for the overview of your work. PS - From my personal perspective, the most influential painting seems to be “The Gallery”, which hangs in the NY Met, and has a small copy hanging in Boston’s MFA.

From a UK perspective, US collectively falls into ‘expression of the moment’, the latest to highlight, then now beginning to fade away was AWESOME.
