David Sylvian - Blue of Noon (1984)

BLUE OF NOON is an instrumental piece recorded during the Brilliant Trees sessions in 83/84 but released later in 1987 as the B side of the single 'Let The Happiness In' .
Sylvian doesn't appear on the track. Piano and synths are played by Ryuichi Sakamoto, double Bass by Wayne Braithwaite and drums by Steve Jansen.

🐝 I would love David Sylvian to release an expanded version of _Secrets of the Beehive_ with a second disc of original extras like the above stunning track, "Ride", "Forbidden Colours", "The Promise" and for good measure _Plight & Premonition._ _P&P_ was released only 5 months after _Secrets_ and I always felt it was an extension of the "found sound textures" that appear throughout the _Secrets_ album. Just my opinion... I want all his eggs in one basket! 🥚

One of my favorite compositions ever. I had the 12”when it came out and lost it. Thanks to the interwebs I have been able to listen to it whenever I want.
