My archive footage (80 minutes) at the concert of David Sylvian in Milan 2001 . In 2016 I shared it in pieces in one of my other channels . Now after 21 years I decided to share it with David fans in the entire footage cause is the best quality seen in youtube about that tour. To make understand is an unoficcial release I put on purpose a mistake in the track Krishna Blue became Kristina Blue. But the rights in youtube are all of David and other owners. I am a huge admirer only. The songs that prevail in the concert are from Dead bees on a cake, a beautiful not easy but great album. Netherless the tour was named after the double compilation Everything and nothing.

Avevo un po messo da parte il genio di David. Dopo blemish ed il resto. Risentire i suoi must ha riacceso la passione. Lo ho visto live 3 volte, a Pisa, a Firenze e l'ultima al teatro di Prato ma qualche anno prima. Ma questa è una gemma. Grazie per avere condiviso.

It’s a shame he doesn’t come out of retirement and give concerts like that over the past 20 years or so. I’m sure he would get a big audience in Europe and Japan. Richard Barbieri got large audiences playing with Porcupine Tree over the past few years.

If you watch all the concert you see them. The problem with the videocameras at that time it was that you couldnt have widescreen but only the squared 4: 3 so I took the keyboard and guitarist when he was moving from the chair. My point was to show him all the time. Normally in the videos you see all the alternated shots of all the musician but you miss all the expressions of the protagonist. At that time no cell phone could take a concert so with my videocamera I was also under the eyes of possible guards make me stop...was a venture....

Big David Sylvian fan since the Eighties, so was really looking forward to this (saw it in 2007). The music is great but live it was pretty lukewarm and uninspired, a disappointment to me. Pity he seems to have musically disappeared off the face of the earth.

That was the last tour with songs....he broke with Virgin and became father and husband and the results of Dead bees on a cake made him sad. So decided to stop with melodies and trying to catch the audience was no more a desire. But if you like Dead bees on a cake you understand better this concert that Is a sort of mirror with that album. From your judgement I assume you don't like that album I wouldn't say less inspiration just a desire to change to feel better in himself. From the minute I heard Gentlemen Take Polaroids on the radio, I was smitten. His music accompanied me through some major moments in my life, touched me deeply. In fact, I love Dead Bees, reflects a very emotional time in my life. So it was more than just a bit of music I listened to now and again. As an artist, he can do what he wants, I understand that all this is part of his journey, I wish him well. Whether he's lost his muse or perhaps it's just Gone to Earth, hard to say. I just about managed to stay with it until Blemish, but sadly (for me) lost interest when it got too discordant. But hope springs eternal, maybe he'll rediscover his alchemic ability to turn base sounds into gold.
