As an agender individual, I am out to my professional network, my friends and my immediate family cause they love supporting me and I love supporting them and that applies to however we identify or what we are each trying to acheive. I am not out to my extended family not because I don’t think MOST of them would be fine and supportive, in fact, out of just over 20 members, I think all but one would be great about it. It’s just that one person who would make a big stink about it and go on about it until the end of his days that keeps me quiet. Because that political elite and press have gotten so much into his head I worry that based on what he has said in the past not knowing I’m agender, he would verbally attack another family member he otherwise loves cause I am “seeking attention”. I am still the same person, just prefer different pronouns to make me feel more fully myself. And unfortunately it means my boyfriend, who first met me about 6 months after I started going by they/them pronouns and has always gone by those pronouns with me has to misgender me at family gatherings just to cater to that one uncle for my safety, along with my mum, dad and sister being forced to do that too. So David Tennant is correct when he says most people don’t care. Outside of the press and political elite, from my experience, only about 1-2% care. Might be lower than that cause I might have gotten unlucky with that uncle and I am an introvert, so don’t go out of my way to meet people. Probably is, now that I think of my other interactions.

It shouldn't be that difficult to be interelationally decent. Now, you see, here is half of the problem, for even the spellcheck doesn't acknowledge the word 'interelationally' exists! That is significant right there! if it's not in people's lexicon, and common usage, how can they conceive of it's meaning and make use of it? I suspect though that all the divisive words are there. What is further needed is societal and scientific literacy within the public arena, not divisive ideologies. Robert Sapolsky, a Stanford professor of biology who has done extensive neuroimaging research, suggested a possible neurobiological explanation for cross-gender identification in a 2013 Wall Street Journal article, “Caught Between Male and Female.” He asserted that recent neuroimaging studies of the brains of transgender adults suggest that they may have brain structures more similar to their gender identity than to their biological sex. Consider, this was over a DECADE ago! I usually keep up and I was surprised this was so long ago.

@@SwordmaidenGwen the trans industry takes advantage of more gay young people every day. Gay people are more likely to be gender non conforming and have complicated feelings about their identity and place in the world. Because of what we see in media all the time, it makes sense so many young gay people see these experiences through the lense of being trans. Ive heard a gay man explain that he will never have a normal libido and sex life because he took puberty blockers and transitioned. Before these kids are even adults and have any understanding of consenting to these things, the path is already layed out in front of them and it's like a fake progressive form of conversion therapy that is pushed by intellectually dishonest people. That is not the only issue either, there's side effects and the FDA has admitted brain swelling could be one of them. hey man idk if you know this, but there *are* gay trans people
@Abi-kk4nl5 ай бұрын
@@sofiah.5820 people identifying as trans and gay takes away nothing from what I am saying here. What I'm saying is gay people are more likely to be taken advantage of by the trans medical industry and adults putting them on puberty blockers. I'm a 31 year old lesbian and I've heard from countless other gay people that if this movement existed on this level when they were teens they absolutely would have begged to transition. Ive listened to a gay man explain how he will never have a normal libido and sex life after puberty blockers and transitioning. And then there's the lawsuits, the fda warnings. But the reason we believe gay youth in particular are extra vulnerable is because we are more likely to be gender non conforming. Gay people also have to face all of the complexity of any young person at 12, but even more so when growing up in a mostly straight world, and feeling out of place. And a lot of gay people struggle with internalized shame and homophobia. Now kids cannot grow up and navigate that without it being projected on to them that these things mean they are trans because these things ARE seen through a trans lense now. Now im a very androgynous, gender nc lesbian and as an adult I get comments about people assuming I could go by them / they, or people who ask me about my pronouns AGAIN because their mind can't seem to grasp that I'm just a very gender non conforming woman. Yeah I'm an adult so I can deal, how is a young gay person supposed to deal with that being projected on to them even more so? Of course this effects the self image of many gay kids. But it's not just gay kids who are extra vulnerable. Young people who have PTSD are extra vulnerable because with trauma a lot of people feel a dissociation from their body, or disgust with it, and feel the urge to escape into a new identity. People with disorders like BPD too, which can often cause something called identity disturbance, which is an unstable sense of self when you latch on to certain belief systems / communities etc to fill that missing sense of identity.

Nah, we must protect both of them, gay kids by acknowledging their existence and allow them to have the support and knowledge about themselves that they need, and trans people for all of the above AND health care access.

@@costelinha1867 gay youth need to be protected from trans Healthcare. They are vulnerable to believing they are trans. The number of gay people who admit they would have wanted to transition in their youth is staggering. They are taken advantage of gay youth and you don't even see it

@@costelinha1867 and I am not doubting trans peoples existence. I'm doubting the narrative they have for themselves that are being encouraged by intellectually dishonest people WITHIN the industry.

Fella, I think you forgot to shut your brain door. All those once-subconscious thoughts about what you see in the mirror when you're with your mates just spilled out. Might wanna grab a mop... and while you're down there, look for a jar that says 'dignity'. Might be worth refilling yours, cos it went by it's best-before date a loooong time ago.

Can someone ask him what being gay has got to do with a grocery store?
@ineffable.amethyst6 ай бұрын
Queer people have been denied access to all forms of establishments, even ones as necessary as grocery stores. When a store promotes a cause like this it shows that people are safe when shopping there which is really important.

god has let genocides, famine, and countless deaths and suffering happen despite being supposedly all powerful. i'll take the Doctor over bearded sky man with major insecurity and ego issues anyday
@EricRuskoski4 ай бұрын
@@mattbear4802 ❤❤❤ The Doctor is pretty awesome, no doubt. It is easy to ignore a youtube comment, but I've carefully chosen some verses that explain why God has allowed all this suffering despite being all powerful... I hope you follow the logic of it, and do read to the end because it will at least give you a clear picture about this: First take a look at Romans 8 specifically 20-25 Which explains why all that is happening right now. it says: "20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. 23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience." it also says in 1 John 5:19 "We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one." and in 2 Corinthians 4:4 "In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." So gods trying to resolve an issue, and he has. But we are waiting patiently for the return of Christ to take charge himself and fix all these things! But why is it taking so long you might ask? it explains in 2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance" If he comes back before you believe in him, you will be lost for denying the truth! and he doesn't want that! So he is waiting on you! What do you need to do you may ask? that's in Romans 10:9 "because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." When you and everyone else who is going to does this, he will fix all these things and so much more! 1 Corinthians 2:9 But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him” I hope and pray that you can understand this, the gospel of truth that saves! (and puts an end to all the suffering that you hate about the world in its present form!) Matthew 7: 13-14 “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. Isaiah 55:6-7 “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. God Bless! I hope you do actually get all of this and understand it, it's a lot, but does, with love, answer your questions about why God is allowing this to go on for as long as it is... But one last thing! Jeremiah 1:12 "Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over my word to perform it.”" He will do all he says, including fixing this mess! I hope this helped! 🤍🤍🤍
