@@ravenna6543 I don't think the production value is the primary issue with the new seasons, although the lower production value certainly has its charm. The major issues I see with the new seasons are: - Direction: its flat, static, and boring. A conversation is just two people looking at each other, not the dynamic, fast, exciting direction of the Davies and early Moffat seasons - Stories: they just aren't that engrossing or interesting (or scary) - Characters: I find the Chibnall era characters to lack much of the intrigue, humor, energy, or charisma compared to any previous doctor + companions. This is not knocking the actors, just the characters they have been told to play. These are the areas I am very interested to take note of in the new Davie's series, as I think he and his writers excelled in all of these areas. There are always some duds in a season of dr who, but I felt the Chibnall seasons had more duds than successes.

What i think is that hes a doctor from a completely different time lime/universe. Because donna doesnt have her memory wiped, wilf is in a wheelchair, the doctor has a new outfit, and they have cast a new actor to play rose tyler who is black, i believe its a separate universe. Exciting!!!!

Unfortunately Tom Baker coming back did make it “possible” in the show’s lore for the Doctor to regenerate into a former face or older version of a former face. I get that it was done just to throw the most popular actor and incarnation of the Doctor into the half century anniversary and it will probably never be used to have a former incarnation’s actor reprise the role for the next Doctor, and most people probably get that, but like Tennant says here, the internet will believe what it wants to believe. An inkling of hope is all a lot of people need for better or worse

I dont agree, because its impossible for the doctor to be who they were back in tennants day regardless of whether tennant plays the character again or not, the doctor has still gone through smiths, capaldis and whittakers doctor life. So if tennant does come back, his portrayal of the character would be different to the first, I think it would be good fun to see, even if its only a handful of episodes and the doctor regenerates again.

I'd love to see Tennant return in 60th and i had an idea how a multi doctor and companion story could then be followed by a reboot. As 13 regenerates, the regeneration is stalled by an mysterious figure the unseen new doctor taken. Other doctors get a warning to come to where this figure was but he's gone, and so is the unidentified 14. The other doctors have to work together to find this figure, battling it's servants who have the power to send them back to their timeliness and forget what happened. As the climax of the story is reached more and more companions and doctors are defeated until one remains who finds out this figure is omega and he will use the doctors power to restore gallifrey and the time Lords. The last doctor loses too and is sent back to their timeline and it ends with a new gallifrey led by Omega, a memory wiped Doctor and a newly regenerated rassilon. The new series then starts on gallifrey as the doctor unearths secrets helped by others who are suspicious like Romana and that makes her steal a tardis and run away but unknowingly steals her own tardis original tardis...
