Great information and yes Humbrol does bring back a lot of great memories. Might have been nice to use same brush for all to even the playing field. My son is into cars and I've forwarded him the information about Cobra. Thanks!

I see all those shorts with red paint and the paint rack was the prelude to this. Also that tamiya, was funny "not so beautifully with regular brush" and from the video it looks better than 90% of the other products show cased lol. Mind you I believe if you do thin your paint and airbrush or put on multiple coat all of them will probably look good.

It's really sad that Revell doesn't prodruce their airbrush enamel colors anymore. I also missed the laquer paint from Tamiya in your test!

Thanks for sharing keep up the great work and please continue with these vid s. Have you considered doing a video on your own collection I bet it would impressive ✌Canada✌

@jamesmcansh6393 ohh that's possibly a great idea, though if David or me (paul) were to bring out own collections, we'd definitely need the completed studio!

There are so many issues with this test, starting with using different shades of red (Carmine red??!!), and usiing different types of brushes.
@SunwardHobbiesToronto2 ай бұрын
@chrisgrangeaud3407 Well, the shades of red doesn't really matter as this test was done to figure out how smoothly each paint went on. Only the darkest vs the lightest shades of paints would vastly differ as lighter paints (bright blues, whites, yellows, reds, etc) are the thickest. Grabbing closer shades of red would have a negligible effect on how thick the paints are. Plus they've been expertly thinned down. Which brings us to your next point Since the paints have been sufficiently thinned down, the different brushes are inconsequential. David could've used a dry brush on this test and all it would change is how wide the area that's being painted. I say this with certainty as David and I (paul) are pretty good at painting 😅🤣 we wouldn't proudly display our works on our display shelves in store for hundreds to see per week, if we weren't at least confident in our ability to thin and apply paint

To bad you did'nt test with the same type of brushes. that would make the test better.
@SunwardHobbiesToronto23 күн бұрын
@MrTubesman they might not look it but these brushes are the same type. The brushes were all camel hair brushes!
