According to Scripture, we are never to think of God as a cold, unfeeling Father. Our God feels deeply! He is touchable. His heart can be moved upon. In fact, He is touched with the feelings of our infirmities (see Hebrews 4:15).
God not only feels pain, but grieves as well. You remember that Jesus wept at Lazarus' tomb. Here is a picture of God in flesh weeping! It shows us that the Lord feels with us and weeps with us. After all, Jesus said, "...he that hath seen me hath seen the Father..." (John 14:9).
We catch another clear glimpse of God's pain in the Garden of Gethsemane. Just hours before the guards came to deliver Jesus to the high priest, He wept so profusely and so feelingly that blood was mixed with His tears. God was in pain over the sins of humankind!
Have you ever wondered why Jesus wept in the garden - why He had such pain in His heart? It wasn't because of the pain He would face on the Cross. No, Jesus wasn't longing to reject the cup.
Rather, I believe Jesus was looking down all the years of humankind to the Second Coming. And as He looked through those years, He saw the unthinkable. He saw multitudes of people rejecting His free offer of full, complete salvation. And He saw the pain and suffering they faced as a result of their rejecting Him.
Jesus didn't wail, "I'm about to shed My blood and go through such pain - but you're going to reject Me. I'll get even with you on the Judgment Day. You'll have a payday coming!"
No! Jesus was weeping over the multiplied millions yet to come - those who would know of His free offer of salvation, favor, blessing, unction, anointing - and yet would not avail themselves of any of it. Christ was weeping that so many were going to be lost, despite having a remedy so available to them.
This is the pain of God! It's the pain that humankind brings upon itself. Jesus didn't just carry our sins to the Cross. He also carried the pain of the whole world!
Here in New York City, we meet people everywhere who are nervous, depressed. We meet drug addicts, alcoholics and homeless people who sit outside the doors of our church. All these people have the gospel freely preached to them - and yet many reject it!
In the garden, Jesus was picturing in His God-eyes the great masses of humanity and all their pain. And in that moment, it all was heaped upon Him - your pain, my pain, the pain of every person who rejects Him at any time.
Yet I also believe Jesus had sorrow of heart for another reason. He knew that people were going to mock Him, ridicule Him, make Him the song of drunkards. And He was pained because of the justice that would have to be meted out to all who denied His sacrifice!
When Christ said to His disciples, "...could ye not watch with me one hour?" (Matthew 26:40), I believe it was out of pain. He wasn't rebuking them. Rather, He was pained because He knew their flesh was weak. And He knew what their weakness would bring down upon them.
In the very next verse, Jesus says, "...the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak" (verse 41). In His all-knowing eyes, Jesus foresaw the disciples forsaking Him and fleeing. He foresaw their emptiness and pain after rejecting Him, and their return to their former lives as fishermen.

When we are TRULY saved by the blood of Jesus, when we open our hearts BY FAITH to CONFESS JESUS AS LORD of our lives, our NEW journey begins. It starts with REJOICING in the miracle of salvation. Jesus said in John 3:3-8 that we MUST BE BORN AGAIN, not Catholic, not Baptist, not Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian, and so forth. Those are ALL man made religions. Prodigal Daughter here. God had to let me see for myself how much the enemy hates me and wants to destroy me. So I would have my eyes open and NEVER STRAY AGAIN!!! Watch out for deception and deceivers. If sin didn’t provide a season of pleasure, no one would fall for it. But when the Piper comes calling for his payment for that temporary pleasure, only God can save you then. But Jesus paid the price for sin. He allows us to feel the pain of the results of our sin because He loves us. After we suffer and are chastened by the Lord for our sin, He takes us back into His Love. Thank You Father.

I preach the Kingdom of God and expose Christianity which is doctrines of men. I was blessed by your RESPONSE for surely you are a REMNANT that truly knows the Word of God. Live a fasted life, arise daily in prayer, Mt.6 n Mark 1:35. Read the Wird daily and LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE. Be blessed

Jeremiah you are worthy by the blood of the lamb. Yet you are no longer JUST a sinner saved by Grace, YOU ARE A SON OF GOD, you have a voice to proclaim truth. You are FILLED with life and hope. You are a Tychicus and Epaphroditus. Read 1 John, all 5 chapters this week. I rejoice David is in Paradise, we will meet him again. I am saddened Carter walked away from the Authority he was delegated by Brother Wilkerson. Times Square Church today is am empty shell is past glory. It is a modern day preacher friendly ministry, appeases souls. Stay sharp, bold, discern what TIME IT IS. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, He sits at the right hand side of God Most High. His mother, Mary, was a blessed human, worshiping her and praying to her is paganism! “Pagans pursue their own vision of the Divine as a direct and personal experience.”

Thomas conlon, Brother, one thing to take very seriously and ask God for discernment about is when he told us this: *2 Corinthians 11:14-15* 14 “And no wonder, for *Satan himself masquerades as an angel of LIGHT.* 15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness.” In nearly all of the denominational religions, there are many TRUE things that they teach from the word of God. Out of all of them, the Catholic religion is probably the one that has the most truth in it! BUT that is what makes it hard to see the FALSE things that they teach. They worship Mary (this is idolatry, which is forbidden by God), only they will never use the word “worship” for her - instead they use the word “honor,” as in they honor her, not worship her. But i was a part of the Catholic church for 3 years, and i tell you it is absolutely worship and idolatry. They use her as a mediator between us and God. But in the bible God VERY clearly says this: *1 Timothy 2:5-6* 5 “For there is one God and *ONE MEDIATOR* between God and mankind, the man CHRIST JESUS, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people.” God wants an EXCLUSIVE relationship with us through his Son Jesus, and not through anyone else! Another false teaching in Catholicism is infant baptism. They claim that pouring water on a baby’s head gives you the Holy Spirit. But if you read the New Testament, there is not one instance of infant baptism anywhere. God wants us (with the free will he gave us) to freely choose to give our lives to Christ and to ask him to baptize us with the Holy Spirit. A requirement for that is clearly taught many times which is to repent of our sins from the heart. Catholicism has added infant baptism when it is nowhere in the bible. This is EXTREMELY dangerous for people who grow up in the Catholic church because they are all told that they have the Holy Spirit in them if they were baptized as a baby. Thus, many go through their whole lives thinking they’re going straight to heaven when they die. That is how dangerous even a “small” false teaching can be!! Another noteable issue is that they teach nothing about overcoming sin, which is completely unbiblical. They have a cycle of sinning and confessing, sinning and confessing, etc. But the bible teaches us that we repent and FORSAKE our sins, which is done by the power of Christ in us over the course of our lives. *Brother, if you TRULY love God and want to know him and HIS TRUTH, then seek him with everything you’ve got and PERSEVERE in doing this!* He has promised us multiple times in the New Testament that HE will lead us into his truth: *1 John 2:24-27* 24 “As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. 25 And this is what he promised us-eternal life. 26 *I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray.* 27 As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, *and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about ALL things* and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit-just as it has taught you, remain in him.” ---this doesn’t mean that God won’t use a person to teach you something. It simply means that the anointing of the Holy Spirit in you will give you discernement and a sense that something is wrong when you hear something false being taught. ---also, THERE IS A VERY VERY FINE LINE BETWEEN *GOD* USING A MAN IN YOUR LIFE TO HELP YOU, VERSES YOU RUNNING TO A MAN FOR ANSWERS BEFORE SEEKING ANSWERS FROM GOD. If we constantly go running to people for answers and do not DILIGENTLY seek God FIRST for understanding, then we put ourselves at great risk of being decieved because we are not putting God first in our hearts. *John 14:26* 26 “But the Advocate, *THE HOLY SPIRIT whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you ALL things* and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” *John 16:13-15* 13 “But when he, *THE SPIRIT of truth, comes, HE will guide you into ALL the truth. * He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.” *1 Corinthians 2:10-14* “The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? *In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except THE SPIRIT OF GOD.*12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13 This is what we speak, *not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words TAUGHT BY THE SPIRIT, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.* 14 *The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.*” ---verse 14 pertains not only to atheists, but to self-proclaimed CHRISTIANS who do not actually have the Holy Spirit in them (but who think that they do, mostly due to false teaching)

@@alisas3585 So well said. I was in the Catholic Church for a few decades. They also teach you not to trust the Bible and no understanding of being born again. It's all about works. Please pray for the 1 Billion souls who need to know the Catholic Church is all based on lies. All made up to control the masses. Teaching for doctrine the commandments of men.I believed Jehovah's witnesses and Mormons were in cults and brainwashed and never in a million years would I have thought, I was just as deceived. LORD, please expose all the lies and lead your precious children out of the Catholic Church so all can have precious fellowship with you, the gift and joy of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and have peace with you through simple faith that Jesus died for all of our sins. There is nothing we can add except to say "Thank You, Jesus!" in your precious name, Jesus we do pray, Amen.
