By the way, I was mistakenly awarded Best Lifter from the meet, but we fixed it afterward. JamaRR Royster won Best Lifter with his amazing performance in the morning session but it was just overlooked after a long day from everyone.

Prayers for you and the family. My mom passed this January from cancer so I can relate in a way. Obviously takes a lot of resilience to still make it out to the platform, and I’m sure your parents are proud of the example you set through these difficult seasons of life.

sport aside, you are amazing. im so proud of you man. please please please, don't ever let that chin drop. eyes on the prize and be better for tomorrow's tomorrow. you have such a warm and comforting charisma and having heard this news, it hurts knowing you've been such a great content creator and role model, enduring this all without any of us knowing or being able to try and lift you up. but hey, at least I have an opportunity to tell you now that you are changing lives and your willpower doesn't go unnoticed.

Competing in and of itself can be emotionally draining enough. This is a reminder that I’m lucky to be 53 and still have both my parents.

I can definitely understand why you're gonna be stepping away from making content, but as a no life nerd whos consumed a lot of powerlifting and general fitness content, I have to say your long form videos are some of the highest quality production and content on the site, so it will be missed :)

Respect for that performance (especially that squat grind) considering the circumstances and I hope your mum has a speedy and comfortable recovery. Just want to say a big thanks, I had my first comp today and it went great. I’ve used a lot of your technique videos and they’ve really helped me get to the stage I’m at. All the best for the road ahead David.

Hey David on your 3rd deadlift attempt you couldn't lockout the knees. Do you think If you tried locking the knees out a bit sooner and doing a small hiptrust to finish the lift would have been benefitial for your lift?I think that the windmill effect started because of that.
