I agree. A thing of beauty. The paint scheme isn't miles away from the 3T Strada I'm currently building. I can clearly see why this could be a nice bike for sportives and for road bike bike packing and touring.

Love it, it remind me of the Cervélo r5 Project California. Which was my dream bike for many years.

That was a stunning bike!!

A "longer" (higher) offset creates a shorter (lower) trail which makes the steering faster, not slower as you say. Maybe the terminology is getting confused here, idk?

My last complete bike cost $4800. Just no way I could justify 3600 dollars to my wife for a frame set. Like where their going with this . Good looks real sharp to.

I’m very interested in this frame and look forward to your full assessment.

Sick paint job, but thats about it. Generic geometry, shape, and too much constraints with a steep price tag for a not really competitive frame.

The Open UP and the 3T Exploro arguably were the two bikes that rocketed the gravel explosion of recent years.

I would rather have a steel frame for endurance riding and but it is Interesting concept hope they do okay 👌

Ridley seatstays on a cervelo frame with a giant seatpost mast. Pretty much a Frankenstein

An integrated seat tube is an immediate turn off as far as I'm concerned. Not for resale value, but the risk of getting the saddle height wrong. Its quite generic looking, for minimalist design I prefer a classic lugged steel bike personally. Geometry wise looks to be fairly standard. Price is a joke.

Integrated seat post is a deal breaker for me.

Would much rather just by a TCR, the open u.p the wide etc I feel like could demand the price they're asking for for all the innovation that went into it, this one is nothing special.

To be honest, I can't decide whether I like it. It's nice, but it's got bits of other bikes in it - and it looks as though it's somewhere in between a Race bike and an Endurance bike; 32mm tyres suggests more Race bike, as the Domane & Synapse can take 35mm+

Durianrider sell that frame but without the integrated seatpost and custom paint job, and coaching

How did they achieve 140 and 160mm rotors with no adapters? Can you or someone explain?
@davidarthur4 жыл бұрын
The frame and fork are designed natively for 160mm rotors, so 140s won’t be compatible

For 3k dollars (before vat tax) you could buy a Honey Allroads, which is a stock geometry Seven ti frameset. It's got a lower threaded bb, longer chainstays of which I am a fan of and it is completely made in the USA. This frameset doesn't even have fender mounts. There are so many better options out there for less money. Interesting concept though and I think they are betting on people buying road bikes that are less road race oriented. I'm one of those people who did exactly that.

At first look I wasn’t all that impressed but I know that they approach bike design a bit differently to other brands. E.g. I saw the integrated seatpost and thought “nope, been there done that” but didn’t register the 25mm diameter, which may actually have some real world benefits (or maybe not, I’d need to try it for myself). I am left feeling who is this bike for though, as the UP is a frame that will be a better match for most people as it is so versatile, with little in the way of compromise.
@peterharrison19773 жыл бұрын
I think it's a bike for those who just want a pure road bike. I have a mountain bike for all my off-road riding, including gravel, and no interest in "gravel" bikes. So for me personally I don't need the extra versatility of the UP and so the MIN.D would be my choice for an endurance road bike. Certainly on my shortlist.

I’m a Open fan, but this bike is just nothing. There are so much good frames at the market at the same or even better price point. Open has some really good gravel frames, but road?

Press fit BBS are old fashioned...... that and the lack of Campagnolo mechanical front mech compatibility rule this out......pretty though

Pretty only counts in horseshoes and handgrenades or something to that effect.
