I got a more expensive Texet chrome finish fan. Have to agree about how fiddly it was to assemble. There was no indication on the box that any assembly would be required. It seems to be holding up quite well so far though. Fingers crossed as it's fairly warm here. Thanks for the vid.

with a variac you can have a 100 speed fan :) that's a handsome small fan.

I have exact same fan but branded Elpine . It's very noisy on oscillating mode not worth the 16.50 I paid for it from amazon tbh .

Had one around the time this review was made it lasted a few days before shaking itself to pieces. Hope Tesco refunded you too, I now avoid Texet and tbh Tesco sold appliances that are not big brand.

If i were you i'd just use some tape or a very small amount of hot glue to secure that back motor piece on.
