I want one! Really! Have absolutely no use for it other than to fill in the hole I just dug or am going to dig elsewhere, One thing my buddy does (and only if it really matters to ya) is he skims the sod off and sets it aside from where the dirt pile will be. Then when he fills the hole he has a cleaner finished job because he puts the sod back on top, green side up! Hehehe. Less work than reseeding or re-sodding again. I liked the Video and look forward to more. Thanks!
@DavidFDay5 жыл бұрын
shitloveaduck the BX backhoe tractor is awesome, yes you are right about the way to do sod when you dig it up. When I did this commercially I would try and lay sod to the side plus I kept grass seed on the truck to put around sod when we put it back. I only work on my rental property so we are usually so far behind we dig fix and go. Thanks for watching and commenting you have a blessed day.

There is a gas line in close proximity to your dig. Also, sewage [methane and hydrogen sulfide] is flammable and highly explosive. Apparently, you are very near it. The man helping locate the sewage line line is down very close to its location with a lit cigarette in his hand. BOOM BOOM! Between the bucket, the gases and the cigarette he could have lost his head. Glad he didn't.
@chrishefley1395 жыл бұрын
That’s not how it works. You have to have the right mixture of fuel and oxygen to have an explosion.

I designed and built a backhoe and front end loader on my late 60s to early 70s ford model 80 garden tractor . 8 hp. Single cylinder kohler engine . loader lifts bucket level at 6 feet and has lifted over 1100 pounds.yeah I've moved small cars with it. Used it as a engine hoist several times. Made a motocross track for my son with it. Backhoe digs bucket flat at 8 feet deep and dumps 8 feet high. Pivots 180 degrees. I've used the crap out of it . loader has been on it over 10 years and the backhoe about 6 years. Have a 48 inch snow blower that mounts to the bucket. Quick detatch bucket and forks. Heard that right 8 hp single cylinder. Uses a two stage log splitter pump. When the backhoe isn't on I have an 80 pound wheel weight on each rear wheel and a little over 400 pounds of suit case weights that mounts on the backhoe mount. Ive had it and demonstrated it at many antique tractor shows. No one passed by without watching it. Beat that . anybody? Oh and I have about a thousand in steel . about 2000 in hydraulics. Steel was from a recycling center and hydraulics was all new except the backhoe controls ( bought them used at a flea market at an antique tractor show).

David, This machine looks like you can only do so many movements at a time with the controls. I’m sure you have used mini excavators before, how well do you feel this machine operates vs a mini excavator about the same size?
@davidsfamilyhobbiesadventu19565 жыл бұрын
chris hefley yes it’s small and only has one pump so your limited on how fast it will move or how many operations you can do at once. I could have went up a size and got double pumps but I dont need a large machine. I only work on my rental property so I just don’t need s large machine plus some of the back yards I have are very small and I like the versatility of a tractor for me.
