Hey David, I really enjoyed this video! It's so nice hear someone talk educatedly about food. Going into the supermarket, you can really see where the American diet falls short, even though we are the most overfed of any country. Maybe it's because there's no real energy (prana) in the food we eat so we just keep eating more and more and more.

I´ve always been concerned about eating as healthy as possible. And the truth is the food does affect the daily Yoga practice and the daily Yoga practice equally affects the way you look at the food in order to be even healthier. Thanks a lot for sharing your insights, dear Teacher! HARI OM! :)

Nice and informative video! I was just a bit surprised about skepticism towards (organic) dairy products, since Ayurveda highly regards these. As David mentioned, it's important what time in the day you eat - according to the sun's position in the sky. And milk is best processed by your body before the sunrise and around the sunset according to Ayurveda, hence modern doctors conclude that milk is not so good for digestion. Also, fruits (Sun products) are better digested in the first half of the day, while vegetables (Moon products) - in the second half of the day. Thanks for your insights and Ashtanga videos!

Dairy products maybe good if you have a happy cow in your garden. But nowadays, the dairy industry is sooo cruel, that it si better do be vegan.

I hate fruit juice, and flavored juices. They make me feel horrible! Loved the videos. Very helpful

Great video! I would suggest that instead of eating meat, a combinations of grains and legumes supplies a whole protein like in meat. And a question for you- which foods have a more Satvic energy? Thanks! Keeping following you :))

I don't eat meat. And this video doesn't advocate eating meat. Not at all.
