Totally agree with your stance regarding bootlegs. No real original work went into CT Toys Wolverine. It's literally just using the Mafex mold. I'm sure many companies could sell a good, cheap figure if they could cut out stuff like, say, the designer, sculptor and license holder, and use cheaper materials.

I have the McFarland Bane stand alone and he's imo close to your Bane. I also have Killer Croc from MacFarlane as well as Man-Bat and the Page Punchers Gorilla Grod all " Maga figures " saw the new " spring time " Swamp Thing at my local Game Stop ( I get some of my collection from there) but didn't have the cash for him.

All of these figures are awesome. Especially the 3rd Party Death. We need more 3rd party companies giving us figures that official companies just don’t care to tackle. The Giga looks like a fantastic figure, too! ^^

Bane was the guy I lost my Mafex V-card to, and I don't regret it one bit. I really hope Mafex gives us a recolored Knightfall Batman too, and I think they're even cooking up a Batgirl!

I'm going to take the opporutniy to argue Gong Toys Superman, nothing personal to you Dave, just using your comments to do it, sorry mate :D: the reason I didn't buy either him or Shazam, despite being from one of my favourite comics, was because I DIDN'T like the head-sculpts. Marvel's is way off but Superman's is weird, it's just not quite right in a way that makes it look very weird,. The closest thing I can think of is if you were to mirror half your face to make a whole face but it's not that either, it's just off. Maybe it's just what happens when you filter western artwork through an asian arist, how things like Spyro and Crash Bandicoot look a little offf sometimes in thier Japanese box arts? I dunno. But it's is sad because a) it looks like a really nice figure otherwise and b) DC Direct did Ross' Superman - he uses the same model for all Supes appearances - for thier Kingdom Come and Justice lines and pretty much got it spot on - and that was ages ago.

Interesting list you've got there Dave! I liked the entries from the various third-party and indie companies, Snail Shell in particular seems pretty promising and I'll definitely have to check that out. As for my top 10 action figures of 2024, here's my list: 10) Marvel Legends Scarlet Spider - As a fellow Ben Reilly fan, I'm biased towards this figure. But I have to admit that it is a pretty good rendition of the character. I personally added a third-party cloth hoodie on it and I think it looks pretty awesome. The only thing I wish was that it should have came with a classic Ben Reilly head sculpt. 09) Revoltech Amazing Yamaguchi Winter Soldier - For years I've been clamoring for a definitive Winter Soldier figure and this is it. I really like the current Revoltech body set-up that they've got going on, where the figure actually looks great in a neutral pose and looks even more phenomenal when posed. But the jarring lack of firearms coupled with just 2 combat knives strip the essence of the character and makes me feel as if the overall package was somewhat incomplete. 08) Marvel Legends Jean Grey with Phoenix Force - It's rare for a Legends release to be better than the Mafex counterpart and this figure does just that. The Phoenix Force base is immaculately sculpted with the nice gradient of translucency, and I appreciate the fact that the Jean Gray figure itself had the better female buck. We all know that it would've been super easy for Hasbro to release Jean Grey in the buck without the ab crunch, before re-releasing it in the future with the ab crunch, but at least they chose not to do that this time round. 07) SH Figuarts Kaiju No. 9 - As a Kaiju No. 8 fan, this SH Figuarts line has been a major disappointment to me, until I got this figure in hand. It is one of the best engineered SH Figuarts figure I've had in a long time, with tons of articulation and a decent array of accessories to boot. I just wished that the other figures in the line could have gotten the same treatment and had more articulation in general. 06) LooseCollector Toys The Crypt: Great Wolves Muraco - Pretty much the same reasons as Dave's covered in this video, it is the Werewolf figure that I've been missing out on in my collection. It still amazes me as to how much articulation was incorporated for such a huge figure and I am now invested in this line. 05) Mafex Knightfall Batman / Mafex Captain America - These two figures are a tie for me as they are both excellent figures, but not quite the definitive representations for me in my displays. I still prefer the overall aesthetic of the Hush Batman, but that could just be my personal preference towards the black and grey costume influencing my decision. For Captain America, while I do think it is significantly superior to the Marvel Legends 20th Anniversary release in terms of sculpt and articulation, it lacks the punch to replace the Marvel Legends counterpart in my Avengers display. It could be due to the paler skin tone of the face or that it is physically less imposing in a Marvel Legends based display. 04) Mafex Daredevil - Contrary to Batman and Captain America, I do think that this is the definitive Daredevil figure. It is surprisingly tall for a Mafex figure and it completely blows the Legends counterparts out of the water. I don't own the Mezco version, but for an agile character like Daredevil, you really need to be able to twist and put the joints to work to fully encapsulate the dynamism of his character, which I feel this figure does almost effortlessly. 3) Revoltech Amazing Yamaguchi Agent Venom - Just like Winter Soldier, Agent Venom was also on my wishlist as the Marvel Legends one was outdated by today's standards. This figure revolutionized my opinions towards Revoltech and it is the best Revoltech figure to me. Sure Spiderman 2.0 and Deadpool 2.0 were good, but they never quite fully convinced me that they were the definitive versions of the character. But this, this is the definitive Agent Venom. With a wide array of accessories and going all out on the firearms with blast effects to boot, Flash Thompson has never looked better in figure form before. 2) Mafex Bane - This figure walked right out of the comic pages and just by virtue of the newly engineered body, it gets the highest grade in the Mafex category for me. Much like many others, I was afraid of Bane being undersized and just being underwhelming as a whole, but those concerns were proven to be wrong. This figure is chonky and super articulated, allowing for iconic poses such as "breaking the Bat" super easily. One thing that I would have really hoped for was a battle damaged mask head sculpt with bits of Edurado's face showing through, now that would've been epic. 1) Mezco Doctor Doom - 10/10 in every single department. Not only is this figure die-cast, it comes with a million accessories to play around with - I mean the Cosmic Power Siphon Harness? Come on, how else would you even get that accessory if not for a custom piece? Hands down, the definitive Doctor Doom action figure for me. And there you have it, my personal top 10 picks for this year. If any of you read this far, thank you for taking the time to do so. It was hard to narrow the list just to 10, but do understand that it is completely subjective. The main factors that I considered were cost-effectiveness, availability, articulation, likeness and quality. Do comment your top 10 if you want to, have a good year ahead and happy collecting.

I have a 1/12 vending machine I got off Amazon, and they have things like benches, mailbox, and so on. Also searching for 1/12 dollhouse accessories can get you crates, bottles, books, gas can, just about anything!

It was hard for me to go to top 10, but I really like the lines that give you more bang for your buck like Jada. I don't need everything to be a fancy import; all about value for the price for me. There's stuff I missed that would've probably made my top 10, like that Death figure, AY Moon Knight, HG Destroy Gundam, HG Infinite Justice Type II, RG Blast Impulse Spec II and SHF Tanjiro. Now I wanna see your most disappointing figures, Dave!

I’m wondering if you could pop the earl Sinclair head off and put your custom head of you’d on the body. That way it could be a double entendre of a mascot. The mascot of the show and a figure of you literally mascot-ing as earl Sinclair. You could even pose the figure to hold its earl head as if the “Dave in mascot costume” was putting on the head. Definitely my favorite is the yolopark g1 optimus. Then the mcfartlane green lanterns. Especially the classic and corps. The mcfartlane azrael knight fall. And batman forever movie wave. Unfortunately my CT Toys Wolverine is trash. Right arm came detached right out of box and refuses to stay in. Right leg popped right off as I just picked him up from the tray. The leg did pop back on though. The left knee doesn't seem to fit in correctly. It juts out like crazy when I bend the leg. Then I need to force it back under the thigh when I straighten it. Good thing I have the Mafex one as well. I just wanted this one for either another display or for the left hand with claws as my Mafex has warped claws. MDLX is pretty great but the sizing is off to me. Starscream and the other jets are all larger then Prime and Megatron.

I pretty much only collect ML now, with an exception here and there. My Top Ten Action Figures of 2024 (a bit of cheating necessary) would be (in no particular order): 1. Odin - As much as I complained about the price, I am super happy to have him. We FINALLY have a worthy All-Father! 2. Ikaris - Hasbro made him almost perfect and comic accurate (I'd have preferred a more Kirby-ish face sculpt, and I had to repaint that damned gold trim its proper yellow color). 3. Iron Fist - So many great extra hands and what not, he just works perfectly well! 4. Angel - Another one that Hasbro knocked out of the ballpark! Look at those wings! 5. Kang (with chair) - I love the new grimacing face sculpt, but the chair is what really made him on the list - Kang needs a chair or a space ship or something! 6. Count Nefaria - I loved the story where Count Nefaria gains superpowers, during the Byrne run on Avengers. Great villain and he looks perfect! Hasbro even managed not to screw up the cape! 7. Mindless Ones - Granted, it was a BAF, which I despise almost as much as the eternal remakes of the same characters, but it just looks awesome next to Dormammu! 8. Vision - Yeah, he was a remake. But I never liked the body buck nor the metallic paint of the old one. This Vision had far better, perfect colors, and better hands. 9. Spero Studios - Warriors of the Kingdom Primal Collection Wave One - I know, it's a set of 6, but they all look so awesome, tons of accessories, and they serve as New Men for the High Evolutionary 10. Mythic Legions Figura Obscura Egyptian Gods (Anubis and Bastet) - The level of sculpting, packaging, and amount of accessories is beyond compare!
