I just installed this on my sofit, but thinking of taking it down. My concern is the design where the light plugs in to the base plate. No mechanism for any water drainage there. So if water somehow gets there it can cause a short-circuit. Possible fire hazard. Should be Ok for wall installation as the water will go down, and hopefully drain.

There shouldn't be a moisture coming down your soffit unless there's a leak somewhere. My soffit is dry. Why don't you seal the perimeter of the base with RTV or caulk and put the same around the area of the plug.

Hello what color wires go where?
@davidgpo Жыл бұрын
The house wiring should have a black wire, a white wire and a ground that's either green or bare copper. Match the wires in the flood light to the color of the wires in the house.

@@davidgpohello what if there is no ground wire?
@davidgpo Жыл бұрын
@@beans7199 It will work without a ground wire but it's potentially dangerous. Hook up the ground wire on the fixture to either a cold water pipe or direct it to ground (earth).

Hey David, how is the floodlight working for you? I bought them from Costco yesterday, but I haven’t installed them yet.
@davidgpo10 ай бұрын
It's still working very well. Even on the low setting it throws a bright light. It's sensitive, the wind seems to turn it on. Overall I like it. Thanks for watching!

after one year one of the lights went out,, I bought two back then and still have one left.. not going to buy another Koda. It is a nice light, but still junk.

Hi David, I installed mine but it’s not sensing the activity? Any idea how I can fix this? Thank you
@davidgpo3 ай бұрын
Did you remember to restore power to the circuit after installation? If so, try centering the adjustment switches and try it, at night. Then try it with the sensitive adjustment to the most sensitive position. My light is so sensitive I have to set it to the least sensitive position. Also try it at each illumination setting, there's only two. If nothing works after your trials it sounds like the unit is defective and should be returned.

MY KOda Light worked great for about a year then one of the three lights went out. I should just go by a light that is not junk. They have no help on their sight to fix it.

Unfortunately all the flood lights on the market are crap!
