Is she a Time Traveller? Antiques Quiz (Ep6)

Do you think that there is a likeness between the young women depicted in the antique painting and Caroline, one of our contestants today? It’s something that I’ve noticed as I was editing the video! Anyway, this is Newark Antiques Fair and with us we have Caroline and Chris who are going to describe the painting you see as best they can and then put a value on it. If they get it right, they’ll win £100! Today’s expert is Wayne from The Lucky Magpie Salvage (link below)

Newark Antiques Fair is the biggest of its kind in Europe. You’ll find all the dates in the link below, but you must visit if you can. Take the day to wander around, there’s loads of free parking, plenty of toilet facilities and lots of food vendors. Indoor and outdoor pitches, so whatever the weather, you’ll be fine! I’ll probably see you there!

I'd have figured 19th century genre scene, but could roll with 18th century Spanish. It's hard to be sure via just a phone video. (and I couldn't see the back!) It wouldn't be a goer here, so locally maybe 500 pounds. At 700 it would be on the dealer's wall for a while.

I guess the painting is very naive style , well painted , no signature ? what all the black stains, because of age obviously , don't know about the valuation i would have guessed half price (because of the state) but nice find !
