I actually have no idea.... I wanted to keep the VVTI and this was the only cam from Toda that could do it. I also didnt want to replace valve springs and again these were the only ones that would work on standard springs.... in hind sight I probably should have done the valve springs....

@@GarageKei if I pony up, I'm going to do springs and JUN titanium retainers. Garage 4AGE sold me on the idea of keeping the factory VVTi, it's pretty great.

I have started it. I didn't really notice a difference in audio at idle. It idles very smooth. Every time I think the car is done I pull it apart again. Lol I think with these latest mods the engine bay is complete... Maybe. Videos coming soon. Thanks for watching!

You mean the vvt filter? 15678-74010? Got it from Toyota Japan... Do you measure the clearence with the lobe in 180° position away from the bucket or 90°? I'm a bit confused from the manual. Also, use a magnet for the bucket removal. Way easier.

Lobe pointing away. All my magnets have metal shavings on them. 🤣😂😂🤣

Ever seen oil leak out of the exhaust cam gear small hole ? I changed the belt all seals even put a different cam gear on and it still leaked , then I plugged it with JB weld it stopped but then it started to leak out the next weak point the inlet cam gear ! I’m fully over this Toyota junk , sticking with Nissan lol
