Nan and Grandad regularly took us to Rhyl. Jet stream and Pepsi loop are probably the first rollercoaster I’d ever ridden. I recon early 90’s. Probably between 8-10 years old. I know Rhyl was a bit rundown at the time. But we had such fun.

The log ride was the BEST 🥰

I remember going here with my whole family in the summer holidays. We would go shopping/beach then finish the day at Ocean Beach. Pepsi Max was my first inverted roller coaster.

Halcyon days! Managed to ride in the late 80s (including the Looping Star) before its demise in the 90s. Glad to see Rhyl has pulled its socks up although it means a short drive to Tir Prince at Towyn to experience these ride experiences today.

I first came across Jet Stream whilst it was at my then local park, Belle Vue (I had seen it on telly previously in Clacton and was already intrigued). I last rode it just prior to this park's sad demise, and by that stage the back seat airtime had become close to INSANE!!! Really sharp, violent, stand up stuff...in a very good way. But, other than the kiddie variety, my first ever coaster was right there in Rhyl, it was the old side-friction Big Dipper.

Never made it to Belle Vue sadly...would have been nice to have ridden the Bobs!

***** I remember many times as a kid watching the seemingly twisted evil that was The Bobs but it was removed long before I was old enough to ride it. Subsequent YT footage still makes me wish I'd had a chance, although "nice" was probably not the ride experience. No, by the time I came of riding age, the biggest thrill ride was the Scenic Railway, & the centrepiece - sad though it may seem, now - was the Water Chute. I used to enjoy standing up to the glass as a spectator as much as I did riding it.

Sadly not many of these left in the world...I believe a large part of this ride was saved and is in storage for the future Heritage Park at Dreamland in Margate, Kent, England.

Sad it's gone, but at least we have Knightley's and Prince's at Towyn, but the last time I visited Princes they had those stupid distancing signs, one as you walked in which said "anyone not social distancing will be asked to leave the resort" well they get can stuffed. Why are these signs still there?. Any place that abides by these stupid rules should be boycotted along with any business that doesn't accept cash.

Tir Prince is a lot better now this year you should check it out the flooring is beautiful it’s now got like blue carpet now and the ride lineup is amazing but knightlys is a bit of a letdown
