I really appreciate the bit at the end saying “buy to your needs, not because social media tells you that’s what you need.” I see so many overbuilt rigs for absolutely no reason what so ever besides burning cash. Which, if you’ve got it… that’s fine, it just seems like a waste to build out a truck that will spend 90% of its life on pavement.
@OFFTHEGRIND2 ай бұрын
I totally agree. But to each their own. I try and be as minimalist as possible (for an over lander at least lol) but I know some people want a lot more comfort when they go out and that’s totally fine. I just really hate when people order a ton of shit without having taken the rig out

Great build and I appreciate how you do a lot of the wrenching yourself. Your note in an earlier video about the Bronco’s tie rods acting like a fuse gave me a lot of food for thought. It looks like you reinforced your tailgate when you put on the 37s. What did you use for that?
@OFFTHEGRINDАй бұрын
Yeah I did. It is from havoc off road. I had to drill out the holes a little because they were a little off, but the hinges are great on it and I’ve been happy despite the fitment issues

So I got the badlands with the Sasquatch package. The gearing and 35s were important to me, as well as the front locker and stabilizer bar disconnect. I intended to keep it stock, but as I used it more I found the suspension to be way too soft when loaded for a trip which ate away my ground clearance, which is why I ended up lifting it and going with 37”

I am almost at that point with my Badlands. Towards the end of the video you were going up over a huge boulder. Did your rear passenger tire rub up in the wheel well? I have 37s with stock bilsteins and a collar lift. I imagine you got a bit more lift out of the Dobinsons. L
