Regarding Dre, I saw what I needed to see in the Rams game. He looked as fast and ferocious as ever. Range of motion looked good. That bodes well for his future. With him feeling sore/stiff, and where the Niners are at, it makes sense to shut it down for now and allow him to have a full, healthy offseason.

Correct and at the end of the day if it upsets us, what more them. I think Purdy is still a little injured as well from what happened before. That’s why he skipped a game and had to go back even though he’s still injured. Then thought he’s going to get reinjured after that bad tackle that almost looked like he got split. trent williams and aiyuk was huge mistakes this offseason. i hope 49ers learned there lesson and make a policy against hold outs. that any player, no matter who, will not be given a contract at all if they hold out. because EVERY player that holds out turns out to be no good. bosa took a huge step back from being DPOY. deebo never looked te same again, aiyuk was trash, and trent williams was trash this season. STOP PAYING PLAYERS THAT HOLD OUT. hold out should mean no contract. if they are already under contract they will get fined the entire holdout, and benched and buried on the depth chart until free agency, or traded. but anyone who holds out should be guaranteed to never play another snap for 49ers again. that should be a policy.

The big picture actually says, icing Purdy for the rest of the season is MANDATORY. Not that the 3rd and 4th-stringers are necessarily worse than the starters, but coordination is pretty much zero. They were emotionally drained and I suspect some of them were hurt coming into this year. CMC and Trent had a heavy load last year. Aiyuk was just bad luck. As we’ve seen, Purdy needs all three. I wish people would admit that. Look at his numbers with those three, not just one of them, all three of them. It was hard sledding for the entire offense. The pay thing is on the 49ers, they could’ve circumvented the Trent and Aiyuk situation, but chose not to. CMC was worn out and little did we know so was Trent. I feel bad for these men.
