On my point of view the only factor that makes some people claim that the first games are better is nostalgia. RE4 is the most acclaimed game for a reason. @@n4ttevandring Re4 is only acclaimed because they innovatived OTS. That is literally it. If it wasnt for that and it had fixed cameras, it would most likely not be as recognizable. Lastly I would say RE1-2 and RE7(up until Mia's section) are survival horror, re3 and code veronica are debateble, RE4-All the way to RErevelations 2 is action horror.

@@n4ttevandring ehh not necessarily, everyone is entitled to their own opinions and wether they like the older titles better than the new ones or vise versa, however subjectively I think that re2 remake was good but it was missing content from Claire’s story so it wasn’t as good as it could’ve been. Re3 remake was missing most of what made re3 re3 so it wasn’t better . Re8 tried to combine elements of 4 and 7 and essentially replicate the magic of 4 but it didn’t work out it’s no where near as solid as 4. And while 7 was the rebirth to the franchise it was only good in the bakers house so it never reached its full potential. Moral of the story is capcom have shown they cannot outdo themselves with their new titles. They never quite reach that level of polish and amount of content of the old games

I am very excited for the remake of Resident Evil 4 but I'm pretty sure without a doubt once this game will come out there will be some people criticizing it about certain changes , different designs or missing enemies well that's because it's a remake not a remastered version of version a Resident Evil 4. The Resident Evil 2 remake and Resident Evil 3 remake we're fun in my opinion even though re3 was a little short. people complained about certain things changed, certain enemies we're missing, certain elements missing and different animations in the re2 and 3 remake. The Resident Evil 4 remake may not outdo the original but it will be a Nostalgic throwback to the original. I just hope they keep 2 of my favorite enemies doctor Salvador and the regenerators.People should play video games to play and not find every little thing that is wrong or they don't like and start criticizing.

When my son was 7 - 8, I bought my 1st PlayStation it only played the original RE. I Liked the graphics, but the game SUCKED, U couldn't run!! Then I learned RE2 was coming out, 2 get a better experience, purchase a PlayStation 2, so I did, man am I GLAD I did!!!! It was AWESOME, & U could run!!!!! Then RE3 NEMISIS came out had 2 get that, I loved it as well!!! Nemisis scared the fricken .... out of me. Then RE4 came out, couldn't wait 2 get it. Re2 no doubt was great but re3 was disappointement for me it felt rushed, clock tower, waste disposal, zoo, missing, nemesis less scary compared to mr x, worm boss cut also, i mean yah its remake but re2 had effort put in remake while re3 nit really, i just hope that re2 team will do great job with re4 and good thing Capcom re assigned development of re4 to re2 team and not let with re3 team.

I mean I can’t speak on others featured, but I grew up on Resident Evil games. Especially Resident Evil 4. I have vague memories of watching my dad play the Castle section of Resident Evil 4 on the gamecube. I’m very excited to see how capcom will handle this remake.

Here it already looks like they are taking the plot too seriously (which is basically one guy be sent to safe the president's daughter a complete 90s plot and comical).
