@@goldenladle7251 can I just say, as a by the way but it is so relevant to videos like this. I was brought up in A RC home but I'm 55 years of age and I have never opened the Bible until some beautiful people came to visit me after I reached out to them and told me the good news, you know I truly believe if people in the Catholic Church started reading the Bible we would see all the wrong thing's that is said regularly in the Catholic Church. I thank the Lord for people like David Pawson and the way he explains the Bible both NT and OT each individual book has it's own video. What a man what a wonderful person to share the good news. Imagine I believe I was about 52 when I 1st opened the Bible. What a God we give thanks and praise to. May others who was as lost as I was find videos to get them interested in the True Jesus and not what we hear when we went to church maybe once a year. I now enjoy reading the word of God because I now understand so much from videos such as David Pawson videos. What a gifted humble human being David was.

I have been so edified by David Pawson's ministry, having first gotten into his material at the beginning of 2019 when I really got on fire for the Lord, and He delivered me from my alcohol addiction. I have since shared Pawson's teachings with my girlfriend's family, and they have also profited much from it. He does such a great job of getting the historical context of each book clear, and showing us where each book fits within the big picture of scripture as a whole. I celebrate the fact that I can confidently believe he is with Jesus now. Much love from South Africa :)

I find David's teachings fascinating; he had such insight and a passion for learning and in particular, an interest in and acquisition of an extraordinary level of knowledge of geography and history. He certainly brings the Bible to life in a way that no one else has. However, I came to know the Lord through John's gospel because I needed to know WHO Jesus was (his character, his emotions, his depth) more than anything else.

I couldn't agree more, a gifted man who understood every word of the Bible, but it's onething in a person to understand such a book but then to explain it so easily that no matter your education even a 10yr old child could understand Mr Pawson. A gift from God David Pawson had. The world will be a sadder place without him. But he left these wonderful teachings behind him that in 200 yrs time people will still be able to see these videos and read his books.

36:10 it was not feeling but timing. jesus was to give his life in our stead at that year's passover. jesus' whole incarnated life operated on a time table in fulfillment of prophecies. it was the divine plan of god to have a kingdom of family in eternity.

Could it be that Peter did not include telling about Jesus's 'birth story' because as the 'Rock' of the church he was led divinely to leave it out? as the modern 'Christmas' pagan celebration has nothing to do with the kingdom.

If so, we would be casting a shadow of doubt on the other two Gospels which does, thereby nullifying the fact that ALL Scripture is God-breathed.

Why does Jesus change his name from Simon to Cephas?
@ruthsmith2367
@ruthsmith2367 Жыл бұрын
@@-GodIsMyJudge-. I know it’s a year ago you wrote this message but in case you never found out. Lots of people in the bible God changed their names Abraham, Sarah and Jacob just a few. Their names were changed because of their meanings. I’ve copied and pasted this: Abraham - The word Abram Means Exalted father and Abraham means father of a multitude. Bible says in the book of (Genesis 17:5) “He shall no more be called the Abram, his name shall be Abraham; a father of many generations have I made thee.’’ Sarah - The word Sarai means princely and Sarah means queen of princes or mother of princes. (Genesis 17:15) “God said to Abraham, you shall not call your wife Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name.” Here an angel came and given the name to Jacob. Jacob - The word Jacob means cheater, deceiver, and Israel means God’s people. (Genesis 32:28) “And he said, your name no more shall be called Jacob but Israel. For as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.” So you get the gist, let’s look at Simon to Cephas. Simon in Hebrew means stone and Cephas is the Aramaic name for Simon which still means stone. God is keeping the meaning the same just different languages not sure why, maybe for when he went into different parts of the world to preach he might use Cephas.
@ruthsmith2367
@ruthsmith2367 Жыл бұрын
@@-GodIsMyJudge-. Actually I learnt something myself replying to you. Jacob’s name originally meant cheater/deceiver and we all know what he did to his brother. So an apt name he was given in the beginning, so something new learnt, thank you.

5:25 matthew was written to jews blinded by who the anointed one of god is who knew he was to already be expected. matthew is rife with ot prophecies that pointed to and were fulfilled in jesus. all his sermons were to correct the wrong teachings of the religious leaders of his day: you have heard it said...but i say...his teachings were needed to restore the "love" mindset of god in the "world" mindsets the jews have embibed again, they who were to chosen to teach god's "love mindset" (ten commandments: love god and neighbor) to all mankind.

5:00 the bible is replete with good news (gk euangglion) the foremost of which is the gospel (gk euaggelio) good news of god's restoration plan for mankind and all of his creation. yes this is to give hope because of the bad news of our fall and its necessary end-result that those who believe in god's good news will be freed from.

I confess I have never considered this before but have looked into it further If you search the internet you will find many references claiming there is NO biblical nor historical evidence Peter visited Rome - however how accurate are those comments? David believed there is clear evidence that Peter visited Rome but not at the same time Paul was there between AD60 - 62. The absence of any reference in Acts or Romans to a residence of Peter in Rome gives pause but is not conclusive. 1Peter 5:13 however is fairly reliable evidence that Peter resided at some time in the Capital city. 1Peter is not a prophetic book and any cryptic reference to "Babylon" witnesses at least to the tradition of the 1st and 2nd century that "Babylon would be known to all jews as a cryptic reference to Rome There is also significant independent evidence outside of the Bible that Peter died as a martyr for his faith in Rome during the reign of Emperor Nero in 64 AD
@VoiceInTheCyberness
@VoiceInTheCyberness Жыл бұрын
@@DavidPawsonMinistry The fact is there had been a large Jewish community in Babylon since they were deported there, and Peter's ministry was to "the circumcision" (the Jews). Paul and his team were sent to set up the church in Rome. Many stories and claims were made to support the new form of "Christianity" (with Babylonian religion structures and beliefs), based in Rome, some are still about! "The man of sin" (1 Thess. 2v3-7), appeared several hundred years later, though "the mystery of iniquity", Satan's cunning plan, was already at work . . . the imitation of true Christianity without real conversion. There was a "Simon Peter" at work in the Roman Empire, Simon the Sorceror (Acts 8:9-24), who believed and was baptised only then tried to buy the influence of God. "Peter" was latin for "father", where we get "paternal", Ju-peter was their chief god. He was also known as Simon Magus where we get "magician".
