In defence of Yousician, the first tuning exercise is just an exercise to tune one string. When the tutorial is complete you can tune all of them at will by clicking the tuner fork button.

I've never had problems with Yousician years ago, idk maybe it's a one time thing or something with his laptop. I remember it worked well only with headphones so it doesn't get mixed up with the audio it's putting out

have to defend yousician here. I use it on my tablet and it never does that loading error. Second the tuner meant to tune just the first there, since it just wanted to use that in the introduction. After that it tunes all strings before any lesson session, or you can tune it anytime yourself. after the trial it costs around 30/month or 140 or so for a whole year. The app teaches really well and there is a practice mode in lessons if you need to slowdown the song. Been using it and i can recomend it👍🏻

I learnt a few chords on simply guitar, but when it started to just get me to play songs but only once, it didn’t let me practice. I paid for it and used as my lessons. But after maybe a month, i moved on and learnt most of what i know now, im a new player and started last christmas. Anyways, nice video as always mate!

i learned all the basics and got a good idea of how to keep the rhythm with my right hand. (white guy here that part was hard). im 11 months in now and playing 1 hour a day! i dont use simply guitar anymore but it was a good starter for me!

My issue with these apps is usually the detection is ass unless you have an amp with distortion turned off so if you wanted to learn guitar a bit before you buy an amp you basically can’t because it won’t pick it up at all really

Bro, I use an iPad6 and I tried yousician and every song loaded easily and fast, I think your device is broken or something. I havent got the full version but I know for a fact that yousician is really good since all the tutorials made it very easy to understand. Dont judge immediately, always see if there is an issue.

you can use fender play for free for 3 months, IF you purchased any fender beginner bundle. for instance, the debut series bundle comes with 3 months, and the squire affinity series kit also comes with 3 months free. In other words, it's cheaper to buy a beginner guitar bundle for the subscription, than it is to actually pay for a fender play subscription.

Now, I’m not saying he is trying to fake it but I use youciscian and it works great and never has problems loading and there is a cut between the menu and the loading screen in the video. Also the reason you can only tune one string is because it assumes you are a beginner and wants you to start off slow with one string. Youciscian is great

I got in person lessons, but at home i started to use these apps, but you have to pay for more than a few songs so i dropped them, got songsterr, chose some songs an played along to the tab, which had audio too. And for the synth audio which i use has no interuptions and is free... And theres any song you want. So just get songsterr and play along to the audio.

Just a little warning if you are looking into the FESLEY guitar he is promoting in the video, other guitar youtubers have previously made videos discussing FESLEY and have not recommended their products due to shady business practices. If you want more information I highly recommend the video by Taylor Danley. David is a good guy but if you are new to guitar just make sure to fully research something and not just buy a guitar because he got paid to tell you that.

I learned guitar using Yousician. When I got my first guitar, I didn't find a way to learn, but one day on KZbin an Yousician ads just popped out, and I downloaded the app. Idk how I glitched the app but it was free😂, so I learn alone the guitar by doing everyday a lesson

Simply guitar is genuinely great. Sure you have to pay monthly but the lessons pretty much stop at barre chords so if ur consistent you'll only have to pay for 1-3 months. It got me from absolute zero to having the toolset to learning songs on my own. Honestly great software. Only complaints are the song library is mid and you pretty much have to use head phones for it to pick up on the mistakes you made. Sure sometimes it'll say ur right even tho ur wrong and vise versa but that's just the limitations of the type for software in general and most other counter part app would have the same issue as well.

As a music teacher, I have a different point. I didn’t hear any of these apps first walk anybody through time signature or BASIC NOTES. This is music lesson number one for every six year old on the planet in every instrument. You can’t assume that people automatically know music counts or what a “C” is. Every app gets a zero. Hire a teacher.

I wonder about the review that complained that the b string broke while tuning. I wonder if these were the strings that the guitar came with or if they got new strings. If they had really old strings, I could definitely see the string break. Heck, I was playing "Going to California" by Led Zeppelin on my electric guitar on really old strings and when tuning back up from the double drop D, the high E snapped and stabbed through my finger. It was thin enough that when I pulled it out, there was barely a drop of blood which formed at the puncture site and the next day, I had a nasty bruise on the side of my finger where the string went through, but I blame the old strings more than my tuner.
