One of the reasons I took up running in 2020 was that both my parents had Alzheimer's and I'd just discovered your research. Thank you again for proving the essential requirement for exercise in the prevention of this awful disease. I'm currently training for my first marathon in April!

I need to get back to exercising. Before I worked as an in home caregiver i had a gym membership and faithfully participated. Well, I’m wiped after my work day but am determined to get moving again. I will start with walking. I used to be a runner myself 😉

My mother walked and took his hills 6 miles every day did crossword puzzles for decades read three books a month worked in a library was very active socially and died of Alzheimer's and I think because her diet was poor and she drank wine every night.

@@bellelacroix5938 I am so sorry for you. I have been on the Keto lifestyle since last May and eating well for years prior but feel I need to add in some exercise. I want to do whatever possible to protect myself. My dad suffered from dementia as well but had Parkinson’s and died from COVID in a care facility in 2020.

The writing has been on the wall for so very long. Why has it taken so long for the mainstream health-related organizations to bring focus on the fact that plaques and tangles may not be the cause of Alzheimer's. The NUN STUDY which followed over 600 nuns for over 20 years and opening up their brain at death proved that the plaques and tangles also existed in people who even lived up to 100 years and had very clear cognitive function. This research result came out almost 20 years ago, but did not receive so much attention - I wonder why?

Dementia itself is difficult to treat effectively with natural medicine. However, there is evidence that some elderly demented individuals have a subnormal concentration of vitamin B12 in their cerebrospinal fluid despite having normal serum levels of the vitamin.[5] In those patients, intramuscular administration of vitamin B12 improved the dementia, whereas oral vitamin B12 was not beneficial. Oral administration of other B vitamins may also improve dementia in some cases.[6] Magnesium may also be useful, particularly in patients taking magnesium-depleting medications. I saw an 83-year-old woman who had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, but who turned out to have furosemide-induced magnesium deficiency. Her mental status became essentially normal after she received a series of intravenous magnesium injections. Interestingly, her serum magnesium level was normal, which is not uncommon in patients with magnesium deficiency, since magnesium is primarily an intracellular ion. If you have read this far, you probably have seen a pattern. Some elderly people may be able to substitute some of their CNS-active medications with treatments such as vitamin B12 injections, other B vitamins, magnesium, iron (if deficient), and L-tryptophan. It may also be worthwhile to encourage lifestyle changes and to work on conflict resolution. It should be noted that L-tryptophan can increase the adverse effects of selective serotonin-reuptake inhibitors and some other medications, so it should be used with caution. The treatment of health problems in the elderly can be difficult and complicated, especially when dementia is involved. Thank you so much!!! I just lost my brother-in-law to Alzheimer's. He was such an active human being all his life and loved life, hunting, fishing, building, and you name it. He was 83 and healthy as a horse in every other way. All he and his family were told that there was a new drug coming out! Saddened me so much because I follow Dr. Permultter and Dr. Bredeson, and I know better! I will attempt to spread the news if I can. Thank you again!

Read Cu-re Your Fatigue as well. Alzheimer’s is a result of the brain’s mitochondrial dysfunction that results in more exhaust and relative to Mg-ATP.

Thank you for this video. My relatives on my father size almost ended up with a form of dementia/alz. I am 61, Working out hard 6 days/wk, doing 1/2 strength, cardio/HIIT. Not only my body feels good but, I don’t see any signs of cognitive issues. My father had to retire at 62 because of cognitive issues.

While reducing plaque buildup might protect against heart attacks and strokes, is it really better to have brain bleeds and hemorrhages? Blood vessel damage is the result of metabolic disfunction.

Talking about nitrate rich foods, why don't we think of bacon, but beets??? Consuming lots of beets and put yourself at high risk of oxalate harms such as inflammation and kidney stones. I chose bacon instead, which provides me not just good things: protein, saturated and mono saturated fats, nitrate, at the same time not exposing myself to oxalate and fructose from beets.

The FDA approved Aduhelm despite the fact that not a single doctor on the advisory board voted in favor of it. There were one or two abstentions, and everyone else voted against it. That says a lot about the modern FDA.

Thanks for the wonderful information you give us. I have heard that the formation of β-amyloid plaques is a protective mechanism in a toxic heavy metal environment. If this is correct could some supplements like Alpha Lipoic Acid, Glutathione etc together with a healthy lifestyle work preventively in regards to the onset of Alzheimer's?? Yes! ED of the brain. The endothelial smooth muscle can't relax, the small vessel lumen gets glycated, RBCs get inhibited supplying O2 to mitochondria in brain neurons, glucose elevated in the blood at toxic levels causes defenses of brain reducing intake pore numbers, but then the neurons need increased fuel and can't get it, and they then ration energy output resulting in 'brain disease'? Can ketone esters enter uninhibited, via a whole different approach than the glucose problem? Does Viagra bring better blood flow to supply the brain with ketones? In men and women? Can this low fueling problem start right in the mouth, by shutting off nitric oxide signaling?

The last thing you wanna eat if you’re risky for Alzheimer’s and you’ve got the APoE4 is saturated fat. The study of a load of Nigerians with high Apo4 all ate high starch/veg fruit diet no junk and have very low Alzheimer’s. I’m going with that as I have one copy. I tried lo carb style and my brain came to a grinding halt. Not surprisingly as it has to have glucose to function ( not table sugar!) In a low low fat environment it works beautifully. See Mastering Diabetes. It’s very link to Denton so is hypertension.

Check on Professor Seyfried (world expert on cancer) the brain functions best using ketones provided by saturated fat. You will find it very interisting.🌸

Clearly, you know nothing about insulin resistance which over a long period leads to pre-diabetes and Type 2 Diabetes. It is not that there is too little glucose in the blood but too much which the body can no longer absorb. It is now being suggested that Alzheimer's is in fact Type 3 diabetes, which is really Type 2 Diabetes when occurring specifically in the brain. In other words, it is not that the brain is being starved of blood glucose. It's just that insulin resistance prevents the brain from absorbing it.

"Work out" is just one form of exercise. Walking, cleaning, gardening are all forms of exercise. We allow ourselves to be convinced to not exercise by age, or of convenience, or pills to curse the ills caused by lack of good diet and activity.

Maybe the risk of diabetes goes up with mouth wash because it is sweet. I remember seeing in programs that even just putting something sweet in your mouth and spitting it out, increases blood sugar.....Maybe it is not just the bacteria killing

Statins help very few people. They do far more harm than good.

I obviously do not know the perfect answer but it is more complex and different for different people: My mother, who has vascular problems was prescribed 30 mg of a statin but gave it to her husband who had been prescribed 10 mg ( I recommended he take none). Both got a lot worse and better, once my mom took her pills and my dad stopped. So you need to know whats going on and decide accordingly.
