Search David and his Whitney Houston cover. You won’t be disappointed. Same key as Whitney. The man is a world known Tenor. And does Opera. And does creative adjustments his rearranging of things is INCREDIBLE.

Somebody mentioned that they could hardly hear David and seemed disappointed about this. Not sure if that person was using earphones/buds/whatever the correct term is, but I always DO use them as the harmonies are soooo much clearer. Plus, my humble opinion is that I don't think this beautiful song particularly needs a 'soloist' - it's the harmonies which make it so very beautiful. I could hear David's spot on harmony which complimented his daughters' superb voices too. I cannot stop listening and watching this as it gives me chills/goosebumps/all the most beautiful relaxing feelings - and those violins really add even more beauty to the sound of the magnificent David and to that of Callie and Maggie Beth. David's arrangement hits the spot, as usual! It's definitely very much towards the TOP of my favourites list!

I agree with your thoughts as well. In my opinion, David is CHOOSING to blend with his daughters on this beautiful song. The harmonies are very tight and with his strong voice the other two parts could easily be overshadowed. Im no professional but my two choir directors (one music/voice major, the other a choral conductor major) always made a point that when singing in a group and in parts everyone should be blending the voice with those around them. I believe David is doing that in this piece. I can’t understand why anyone would want to critique such a beautifully executed arrangement and performance. It’s, dare I say, better than the original in my opinion.

Thank you for the scripture to follow up on this wonderful song. I’m not sure that it was written with this scripture in mind but it’s a good analogy. Ecclesiastes 3:20 “All go to one place. All are from the dust, and to dust all return”. In 3:19 scripture talks about “For what happens to the children of man and what happens to the beasts is the same; as one dies, so dies the other…”. We need to be ready for what lies ahead of us when we pass from this earth and into dust. So I say read John 3:16.
