That one with the tent already there, have you thought of popping back with someone in tow. I'm just thinking if it looks like it's been there for a while and it's stealthy, then has a person down on his luck passed away in there? I've just watched a few US vlogs where hikers have passed away, and it got my cogs whirring. As for one pot cooking, I'd go for a chicken curry and then throw in a Uncle Ben's rice. There was nothing wrong with a nice stealth camp, and I enjoyed it, David, but I miss your camps in the hills. Take care and stay safe out there.

The Hills are coming back next upload :) I'm off to the mountains this coming weekend! Very good point on revisiting that old spot - I'll have a think regarding this. Thanks for the constant support Chris!

@DavidPMcEntee Yeah, I'm hoping I'm wrong 😢 but it was just niggling in the back of my mind. Where are you off to? Just area not specifics, I'm not stalking you, honest 😂. The thing I hate about the Peaks is the popularity. It's good that people are going out, but judging by the litter, it's the type of people who think the park closes at 8pm and the litter pickers come out at night. I've thought about taking a litter bag with me but I'll end up ranting at the end of a vlog like Victor Meldrew. I had to road walk 2 miles a week or so ago. The amount of small gas bottles, strong wine and lager bottles tossed out of windows wound me up. If I had 40 bags I could have filled the lot sadly. So unless you have annual leave you are stuck with the hordes of people. Luckily I can be up there midweek. I've just reread this, I am Victor Meldrew 😂. Just be safe on the stealth camps David.

I was checking the comments to mention this. If you don’t want to go back maybe pinpoint the what three words for the police to go check. You could always just say you were litter picking and spotted it. Hopefully just an abandoned tent but worth getting someone to check.

Good to see you back. It's easy to stay home, hard to push yourself out. Most people don't! There are no failures, some outings you sleep out, some not. Better not than put yourself in a situation you wouldn't want to deal with. Every trip out is a lesson. Keep going!

Great video! Loved it! First, on food: bring two stoves, a decent frying pan and a saucepan, then hit the supermarket, get some fresh pasta and a sauce, bit of Parmesan, job done. Second, on places to stealth camp: how about within the grounds of a National Trust property? I'm thinking of the big places, like Wakehurst Place, Sheffield Park or Knole in Sevenoaks. You could wake up at a decent hour, wait for their cafe to open before enjoying a decent breakfast (make that two breakfasts, one early when you wake up and then another one (perhaps a cappuccino and a slice of coffee cake). I don't think I would have worn earplugs, I'd want to hear what was going on outside the tent after dark. On that subject, what's your greatest fear whilst stealth camping? I don't think I'd be happy if I heard anybody outside whilst I was sleeping. In fact, last question: what is the worst that HAS happened to you? Once again, great video. I think I'd prefer to camp with somebody else. You need a partner in crime!

Your enjoyment shone through here😊 In fact that was probably what made it so watchable. Loved the camo netting. Perfect for UK winter👍 But if I may offer some advice? Don't fret so much about it. Yes, it's cheeky, going camping in random, urban areas. Sure, Highways England or police might find you, but all they can do is move you on. You don't even have to give your details if no offence is suspected. And the chance of getting caught is really low. When you remember all the death & pain going on in the world, all things considered, you aint doing anything wrong. Just a bloke going camping. I wild camp but might just try this stealth thing out for myself🤔 Thx. Great watch

mabi try hobo meals next time? KZbin that loads of recipes on there. it's essentially meat/ chicken, potatoes and veg some seasoning and spices of your choice. wrap it up in tin foil and Chuck it on the fire flip it couple of times and you got a meal. I've done it a few times and it's turned out pretty good. best thing is you can make it at home and just pull it out ya bag onto the coals very simple.
@DavidPMcEntee Жыл бұрын
Love this!! A wrap would absolutely bang out in the wilderness!!! (Of a roundabout 🤣)
@aaronjames0587 Жыл бұрын
@@DavidPMcEntee it's not a wrap even though a wrap is always good. there is no tortilla. you put all the ingredients into the foil and make a parcel out it so it's like a little oven. and it all steams and cooks together and then you just unwrap the foil at the end and eat strait out the foil parcel

Really enjoyed your enthusiasm for getting out and about, but i always feel sorry when i see things like this, England should have the same "right to roam" laws that we have in Scotland, its such a shame that such a beautiful place, doesn't allow more access, i feel blessed that i can go wild camping, with no looking over my shoulder, or no asking for permission anywhere i go, you should pop up to Scotland, where there is no need for stealth anything.
