I am in no sense a professional reader, voice actor, or what have you. I began this audiobook project some years ago when some friends of mine jokingly said they'd read A Song of Ice and Fire (my favorite fantasy series) if I personally recorded the whole series in audiobook form and sent it to them. Having now made my way almost through the first two books in the series, I decided to join the small community of people who post their own amateur audibook readings to youtube, and share my efforts.
I have no intention of profiting off of the work that is copyrighted to George RR Martin. This upload is a tribute to a series I deeply love, and I strongly encourage you to purchase these books. You won't regret it.
Also I should give full credit to my cat, Claudio, for the frequent background meows and purring sounds you hear throughout.

@@loki_l_1380, Martin has said he has like 6 other Dunk and Egg stories written, iirc. I just read that HBO has officially announced a series called A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, based on the extant published DaE stories. So... I am cautiously hopeful that we will get those other stories. I want to know if Dunk ever found Tanselle Too Tall, the story of how Dunk and Old Nan started the line that resulted in Hodor, and especially who the woman is that Dunk started Brienne the Beauty's line. For such an awkward guy, Dunk was clearly the rizzler of the 7 Kingdoms.

I wonder were the Targaryen eggs are, the Usurpers never found any after the rebbelion, i hope they factor into the story of Asoiaf, maybe Dany or Jon will find them in Dragonstone, i doubt Griff will no matter how much he tries.

most like they were destroyed at summerhall. in any case, i doubt it would be much use anyway, given it seems incredibly likely the maesters poisoned every dragon eggs they could get their hands on after the dance, given just how malformed and crippled they all were when they hatched. Dany's eggs were a different, older lot that were taken across the seas in the days of jaehaerys I, and as such were perfectly fine when they hatched.

@@biropgrules I doubt the maesters could have poisoned the eggs, maybe after they hatched, but I also find that incredibly unlikely as the last dragons must have been incredibly well guarded by the royal family. Plus danys dragon eggs had literally turned to stone by the time she had them, there's something else going on here. I think the targs simply lost their link to magic and they couldn't bond with the dragons anymore so they withered and died out.

The more i listen to these readings the more i wonder what wouldve happened if Daemon Blackfyre had won the battle of the red grass field. Do you think it wouldve been better than the Targaryan rule?? Blackfyre is the ancient sword of the Aegon the Conquerer. Maybe Aegon the unworthy was on to something when he gave it to Daemon? I guess we'll never know
