I ran diesel in my 98 integra for over 400 miles from kcmo to northwest arkansas. No problems, made it back just fine with unleaded.

I know here in the states, When you go to a gas station the diesel pump nozels are bigger than the gas pumps and won't fit into a car that doesn't use diesel so it's impossible to put diesel in it.

That's the reason why European dieselnozzels are bigger then petrolnozzels. Misfueling dieselengines are quite often here. By a petrolengine running on unleaded fuel, you can 't put a dieselnozzle in because of a little thing, every car with a catalist should have one. Most cars sold in Europa here have stickers (since 2018)on inside the fuelcap to show you what fuel you must fill up. Unleaded fuel= E5 or E10, diesel = B7

Rather than than removing the rear seat and accessing the fuel pump, you should be able to run a jumper wire and connect it where the fuel pump relay plugs in, bypassing the relay and allowing the fuel pump to run continuously. Never done it on a Corolla, but that trick's worked on several other cars when I've needed to empty the fuel tank. Just a suggestion, might save a little time and hassle if you ever need to do it again.

why in the hell wouldnt you just take the fuel pump relay out and jump the terminals with a small piece of wire? then you wouldnt need to even remove the rear seat.

Just put petrol fuel in the car and it should start to smoke, but that's normal. Let it run for 10 minutes and drive it around and it should be restored back to life

My mom also filled her car's tank with diesel, diesel is gone but now error code P0420 shows up. Also noticed when you floor the accelerator sometimes you can feel a bit of loss of power. What do you guys think? Think the cat converter is done for? Or something else going on?

+Squee Gee a P0420 code is a catalic efficiency below threshhold eror, what model car and what year was it made, could be a fucked cat or a cloged o2 sensor either pre cat or aft cat. a bad o2 sensor will make the ecu think it is a bad cat, but i would replace the o2 seneor before the cat as an o2 sensor is much cheaper and is more than likly the issue. hope this helps you with your problem ~Nathaniel and yes i am a mechanic and yes i do know what im talking about

It is not so bad to put diesel into a petrol engine by mistake, however try not to put petrol into a diesel the engine will seize and run dry the diesel over lubes a petrol engine. The same with a two stroke engine put neat petrol on its own with out oil mix you will seize the engine in a two stroke engne

diesel cannot ignite in a gas engine. so if it was filled with diesel and it made it to the engine then the engine isn't gonna run. ( I know from personal experience )
