I can't connect with onkyo control app the RZ30. Have any other the same problem?

In what way is this receiver better than the Pioneer lx305? I read that thing has great audio quality even while listening 2.1 stereo music.

Don’t forget the RZ30 was designed after the release of RZ50, so while it is more entry level, in many ways it perfected the RZ50.

I don't like to be behind the curve for AVRs, the tech is always moving forward, so I think long terms the RZ30 will prove a wiser purchase. True there is less power, but most heavy lifting it done via the Subwoofer these days, so the power rating isn't as crucial as it was before digitally controlled LFE, in my opinion. I don't think the price difference should be the deciding factor, albeit everyone, especially me, loves a bargain. This unit is two years ahead of the 50 and 70, and importantly has the new HDMI 2.1 chipsets that solved the buggy behavior of early versions. So.. for me, that's a big deal.

@@RJArrayCPADifferent story in Canada, which is where David resides, IINM. Current on line MSRP pricing for the RZ series at Best Buy (all in CAD): RZ30 $1,999, RZ50 $2,199, RZ70 $4,198. I bit the bullet about 2 years ago and upgraded from TX-NR 818 to RZ740 for Atmos capability, After playing around with miniDSP for separate alignment of multiple subs (even if you already have a laptop, a 2x4HD +calibrated mike will set you back several hundred bucks), the dual sub and DIRAC functionality of the RZ30 - or any future models- would definitely be features on my short list.
