I am Ahmed from Morocco, and I want to thank you very much, my brother David, for all the information and courses you provide us with to learn ArchiCAD and develop with this wonderful program. I wish you success and success in your life. Thank you

Thank you SO much. I saw Archicad when it first came out and have played with it for a few projects (I was a construction contractor) and it was so good to have control over the plans. I could make enough for renovations and commercial work and get council signoff. Spent lockdown designing a universal design house specification ang your tuition will let me draw the plan to get council approval. BRILLIANT!! Trying to explain what I want to someone entrenched in wood and sheetrock is a waste of time and a battle. This gives me control to realise a vision to reduce building costs 50% whilst meetin LEED, Passive etc. and a 100 year lifespan with no concrete. Thanks again David

These tutorials are the best - step by step key stroke descriptions, I like to watch at slower speed. Also watch at 0.5x or 0.75x speeds with captions on makes it easy to follow tutorial as it progresses.

Thanks for the video David, is there a way of creating a mesh just by selecting the DWG from the surveyor?
@DavidTomic2 ай бұрын
Not quickly. You can ask the surveyor to provide an IFC file as most of them model in 3D these days

I have a question. Been struggling with this for years. Let's say I have a floor plan. But some of my rooms are on different platform levels but I need to show all related doors and windows on the single floor plan. It seems the floor plan have one single cutting plane. Wish I could control that to specific areas. Can you assist? Thank you.
@DavidTomic6 ай бұрын
You have to create multiple levels in that case

hi. I am revit user, come to archicad because my new office requires it. In archicad there is the same way to make door/window as the same way of revit family? Making from scratch, not using archicad existed library.
@DavidTomic Жыл бұрын
Yes but overly complicated explanation. Not a simple way and suggest against it
@cuutoivoii Жыл бұрын
@@DavidTomic so it is very complicated for making custom door/windows? we must depend on the standard library? What I heard people said archicad is kind of "sketchup of BIM", I thought it would give more chances for modification and customization than revit...

Why is it that if you add some libraries to Archicad, Archicad starts to slow down?

Because the libraries are not optimised

It makes no sense to me to stay with the Archicad shortcuts - I've customised mine to eliminate all the extra keys to press, ie when I have an element selected I press D to move it. Customise people - it's easy.

It’s the graphics settings of windows and Mac mainly but yes I agree the layout should be the same at least
