Now that I understand how it works, I can take my time exploring the different options and customizations. Specifically, I could not follow along on how to delete the bottom where the page reads "Base WP designed by..." Can you help me out with that? Second question: When I look at my preview both my home and about menu clicks through to the pages I created but the other menu options just click through to a "sample page"-I don't know how my pages that I've created are not linked to the menu selection. One part where I had to do a second take was when you installed Stackable. I don't know if Stackable is similar to Elementor at all, and if so, would Elementor be the better option for page building? First and foremost thank you so much for this post! It is extremely helpful! I ran into a problem with breadcrumbs though... When I go to Customize - Theme settings, I get to a different set of choices than you had in the video. I get Typography, Layout settings, Theme color option, Post General Settings, Single Post Settings etc etc. Neither Post General Settings nor Single Post Settings have a Display Breadcrumb option. I looked into their customer support and they are talking about implementing some code into a child theme. Could you explain in a future video maybe how to do all that? A complete newbie here... I used a Multipurpose Blog by Buywtemplates as a theme because it fits my blog much better.

I suggest Themify Ultra or Simple. Those are what I always use. I used Base because it’s free and you can make a custom, decent looking niche site quickly. But in general, use a page builder theme like Divi, Ultra or Astra and Elementor.

In the menu setting in WordPress make sure to remove those legal pages from the main menu and add them to the footer menu. This template has two menus, you just need to select which one you want to edit.

Thanks for the feedback. Which specific plugin? For stats you can install jetpack, but in the video I suggest google analytics. It’s funny because in my other videos people said I went into too much detail and to get the point more :)

I followed your steps of delete this and that because they're not needed and next thing I know my stat are gone. It was in my dashboard I think under activity. This is my first blog so I am completely clueless. That's why I like detail. I tried installing google analytics and got an error. The only thing I know about computers is web searches, email, bank accounts, etc. I deleted the bluehost and hello dolly as you said. I don't know if they have anything to do with stats. I don't think I ever had jetpack activated, but maybe I did. I have another question. I picked Astra as my theme, but did not choose a templet inside it. I assume I don't need to. I tried creating a menu but I don't have the option to place it under the header. Also when you talk about the reading option and selecting static, this option does not even appear for me. Is that because I did not publish it. Sorry this is so long. I have so many questions and need a teacher right beside me, which obviously is not an option. Thanks for your reply and help.

I had heard that WordPress was something I could easily figure out on my own by playing around with it. LIES! SUCH TERRIBLE LIES! I purchased my site through Bluehost back in January but hadn't touched it in months due to frustration. None of the KZbin videos I found helped me, and all of the free WP trainings I went to were just too fast for me to keep up. So glad I found your video! I'm not far through the video yet due to the fact that I'm pausing and rewinding a lot, but it's finally starting to make sense. I was wondering if it would be hard to follow your video if I used a different theme? I had one already picked out and I really like it, but I'm afraid it will be hard to continue following along if it isn't the same one you're teaching us on. Any opinions on that?

Dude, bluehost offers free domain names upon signup. Everyone else keeps swearing by Namecheap, so I'm going to assume they're just paying everyone to cite them... Nonetheless, the tutorial was useful.
