This was a real eye opener for me. I've been writing blogs since 2006, but mostly as a hobby. I just decided to focus on making money from it since 2018. But definitely my posting frequency (and amount of articles) is seriously under the required numbers. Of course, I have not been giving this the seriousness needed to actually "see results ". So, a big THANK YOU to you for sharing this data. I really , really appreciate it. Once again, it confirms one of my theories: you have to do what you "claim" to be, and you have to do it consistently. Let me elaborate on this: if you claim you're a cook, COOK for Christ sake!!! Cook daily. Same goes for so called "writers", "singers", "music composers", whatever it is, DO IT. An do it often. End of the story.

A few things could be the issue. 1. Frequency of posting. Too far apart and people forget about you 2. Your niche is very niche. Getting people on board with your site could take time 3. Related, you are not marketed where your target audience is. 4. You don't quite have enough posts or those that are aren't linked to each other. I come see one and leave instead of looking around and potentially commiting. 5. Content might be too long and not skimmable. Does not retain attention, people stop coming. 6. There is no tribe. 1 person per day could mean your commited people are noncommital. Check up on them and get them excited (email, short post, etc) 7. You saw this coming; SEO.

This is one of the most helpful videos I ever seen for creating a side hustle/blog. My goal is to be a pro thru hiker. I'm in the baby stages of my hiking blog. (I'm currently writing this from my second channel/etc, not the hiking one) This video is valuable because it gives me a concrete goal to shoot for to achieve enough money to permanently thru hike.
