Thank you, I don't want to sound like an old crank but, for me his loss and then MLK and Bobby going left me at 15 in '68 bereft "and I had no one left but God"(a line from Robert Frosts poem"Bereft"). Thanks again for sharing.

Kennedy was a very good orator, however extremely ineffective president. He had a test ban treaty, the Russians cheated. Alliance for progress was created to assist in freedom, yet more countries after Kennedy entered into the Soviet dominated realm. Civil rights passed by Johnson. Kennedy expanded US involvement in Vietnam. By his death nearly 1,000 Americans had died. His relationship with Congress was due to his inefficient representatives he chose to deal with the legislative branch. Kennedy was simply too inexperienced and lacking skill. Johnson was a master at legislation and dealing with Congress .
