That THREE reporters sitting at a desk together at WFAA's headquarters could so frequently and consistently "report" so many inaccuracies, and so much misinformation, regarding the most basic and important facts pertaining to the assassination, the shooting of the police officer, and the apprehension of the suspect is appalling. 👎

As CBS-TV President Frank Stanton noted, all TV and radio stations subscribed to at least one news service so they all broadcast the first news reports around 1:40 EST- nobody was really first.

Given the overuse of the word "stunned" throughout all of these news reports, it was clearly a mistake to not have a thesaurus at hand.

Within a couple years of this assassination, the democrat party began moving closer to the politics of Lee Oswald than of John Kennedy. Today, the democrats don’t even have a place at their table for the Presidents own nephew. They have become that radical.

Thank you for this piece of radio history. It’s just amazing that the topic at hand at first discussed how everything was sort of out of our control that the science educator being interviewed made point to say that the Earth is a speck in this vast universe of other celestial bodies. It’s like this thing that is greater than us and it is greater than us. And many people put their hopes and dreams and thoughts into it wondering what it would be like to be out there what it was like out there. Then this horrible news came throughgoes to show how truly powerless we are, on this, that is just a speck, in a vast universe. Very powerful.

If Oswald really was an intelligence agent playing the role of a socialist, pro-Cuban dissident, he played his role very well. His talking points didn't fall into any stereotypes, which we observe by "glowies" in today's political discourse. But then again, his mission might have been to infiltrate these circles or get their trust and not to make them look bad publically. Aget or not, he was a very bright man in any case. If he indeed a played a role, I would go even so far to say he was above intelligent.

I’m watching it now and even though it happened thirteen years before I was born, I teared up a little bit. Singer and teen heartthrob at the time, Paul Anka, was on tour in Europe, and was supposed to perform one last concert in Warsaw, Poland. But when the news came through via an international news feed on the radio; he broke down and started crying. Needless to say, he couldn’t perform that night. But he promised his fans there that he’d make it up to them, and wanted to at least say good night to them. His voice was raspy, and they could tell that he’d be crying. And this happened 30 years before he became a naturalized citizen of the U.S.

He heard three shots spaced equally apart.... I think I've heard reports from other witnesses that the last shot followed closely after the previous shot, so wouldn't that indicate two gunmen?

TO THIS DAY AMERICA, has NEVER fully Informed the America People & the World who Murdered/Assassinated their President JFK. But it's a STAIN that will Always be Releated to the MEN who committed this Coup/Crime & will Hang over America for Eternity. And Yes, we know that most if not All who were part of His Assassinaton are well & truly long gone but i have NO DOUBT that their are Still those who know the Truth. And the Truth, as i see it is that the American Establishment Assassinated John Fitzgerald Kennedy. R.I.P

Welcome to the era before satellites, where scratchy hit-or-miss sideband HF radio was the only way to go for long-distance radio communication via voice, and a phone patch was probably a wonder of technology to many involved. We've come a LONG way in sixty-one years.

Thanks, David. These extended presentations are wonderful; and I feel NBC radio did the clearest and most precise presentation of all the outlets. Not a lot of glitches and contained good insight especially in the early hours where all types of speculation was circulating. I am not a mainstream media guy. But given the era and event, I have to give credit where credit is due. Thanks again; and take care.

14:43 -- The mayor of Dallas presented JFK with a bullet-proof hat, which he'd be needing later that day, but fortunately he was too stupid to ever wear it. Thus the warcriminal absorbed the lead salad he had coming to him, thanks to the true aim of LHO, #1 guerrilla fighter for world peace!
