Hi Davie, I really enjoyed watching this Rough Midge Pupa pattern you have tied. You never fail to teach me something new each time I watch your videos. There are subtle differences each time when you dress various materials e.g bringing both rib materials up together and also how you created the thorax. There are some very useful techniques you demonstrate here… and these can be utilised in other patterns too. Best regards, Wayne 😀👍

Thanks again for sharing your talent and ideas with the rest of us. I do appreciate it. I wish my mind worked an 1/8th as well creating flies with different materials and making them look so good. All the best to you and your family. God bless. Sean

Really like this. Tied it with uv black straggle and it turned out quite well. Not as good as yours of course. A challenging wee fly for me but very satisfying once it's finished. Thanks for sharing.

A really pretty fly, Davie. Thank you. Do you ever fish midges (the little bitty ones) on the rivers? Mike

Hi Mike, I have only once seen a good hatch of small midge in the early part of the year when I was down looking at the water before the new season was due to start and it was good enough to encourage the fish to rise.. So I would have to say no but I have fished down to size 18s on the lochs as we do get some very small midge hatching throughout the season..I'm glad you liked the fly.. All the very best Davie
