Man, this is so smart! Every second I learn something new in this video, and I've used gimp for a long time now! Makes me think that the dude talking is really smart!

A very abstract but important lesson this time. Thanks!

This is one of the most helpful tips videos I've seen for GIMP. Thank you!

Using this trick with perspective tool might be just what I've missed. 🤔 Gotta try it! Thanks once again Michael! 😎👍

The second you mentioned paths I had "Well I'm stupid" moment. That makes so much sense... (I mean, not more than GIMP just having diagonal guides like Inkscape... >.>)

Anyone know if you can create multiple guides at once? I want to do the rule of thirds, so I have to go several times in image, guide, 33.33% horizontal, again image, guide, 66.66% horizontal and two more times but with vertical
@DaviesMediaDesign3 жыл бұрын
Yes - you can create multiple guides simultaneously.

What I did was... I created a gimp image; 2000x2000 px., created the guides I use most often, and then saved it as an .xcf file. Then I can resize it and the guide percentages will stay intact.

Is there no basic tutorials on drawing straight lines
@DaviesMediaDesign3 жыл бұрын
Click on your composition with whatever paint tool you’re using to paint the first point, then hold the shift key to enter “Straight line mode.”

........ so there's no simple way of saving a document with true guidelines as a template? I tried it and the guidelines don't appear in the new document
@DaviesMediaDesign2 жыл бұрын
If you have the document as an XCF it should save the guides and guides’ placement as well.
