As a professional editor, iam Recently switched to resolve from premier.. We Can edit without lagging in resolve... Very smooth playback compare to premier.. But the problem is less availabilty of get transitions and effects in resolve... And some function are very easy to use.. Like dynamic zoom.. Keyframing.. Time retime..Smooth tracking...Stabilization...magic mask.. Manual masking..Etc..And we can edit 4k or higher resulatuon footages smoothly.. I loved it..

DaVinci Resolve was released in 2004 (19 years ago) and Adobe Premiere Pro was released in 2003 (eventhough there was a predecessor to it, Adobe Premiere which was launched in 1991), just fyi..
